"Who are you?" I asked, still left in the shock and scared state that came over me when gunshots were heard.
I look up to his face which was hidden behind a dark shadow and bit my lips as silence fell between us.
"Who I am is none of your business,"...
"I'm getting closer to the building," Mateo said and I felt the helicopter slightly turned towards the building.
It was 8 pm in the night, the time when its dark and most people are locked up in their homes which I guess makes it the best time to rob someone.
Earlier today we stayed by Mr. Agosto's place and discuss our plan with him and that's when I found out we were actually leaving around 8 pm in the night. that's when I also found out that we'll be taking a helicopter which will be flown by his men called Mateo and Victor.
I actually took the few hours we spent by him to try to calm down because my mind was flooded with so many negative thoughts...but I felt better when I remember Jaxon's words.
"I've hacked into his security system. You have exactly 2 minutes to cover the cameras before the turn back on" Gaël voice brought my attention to him.
Oh yes, Gaël, another one of Agosto's men had accompanied us aswell. He is known for being one of the best hackers, so Agosto thought it would be best if he came along with us.
"Okay, then send down the rope" Jaxon spoke while rising to his feet and I followed after him...but he stopped me.
I looked at him confused, opening my mouth to speak. "Is there a problem?"
He exhales at my question, pinching the bridge of his nose before answering my question. "Ariana...how about you stay in Okay?"
Is...this a joke?
"What?"
"Look" he began, exhaling again "I...I just think it's best for you to stay here. It's safer"
Is he really being serious?
"No! I'm not gonna stay in here and let you go all alone. Is...is this some kind of joke?!" I questioned in disbelief.
I can't believe this! He really wants me to stay here while he goout there alone?
"No, it's not. You should stay here and--"
"Then what was the point of training me if all I'd do is sit my ass in here while you go out there all alone?! Huh? And what about our agreement with Agosto? What if he finds out you went in there all along? Do you think hed still give you the answers you're looking for?!" I raised my voice at him.
