She smiled as she stretched her arms, her pretty blue eyes waking up to the expectation of his beautiful green eyes and silly smile. It was both a dream and a nightmare combined whenever she felt like a fool if she'd wake up and not see them again. Elsa always mentally slapped herself for always having that one fear.
But sometimes fear just have to prove her wrong.
A note card was there instead. Her smile wavered into a frown of confusion, her hands grasping the familiar penmanship on the paper.
Good morning, beautiful.
I'm sorry I'm not there by your side once you wake up today. I'll make it up to you later, baby, I promise. I just have to clear my head for a brief walk by the town. And I had to pick up a little something from the bakery, too. I didn't want Guinette and Chef Leonardo having trouble in making a cake.
I'll give you your morning kiss later.
All my love, your Aiden.
The smile returned to her face again. All worries washed away, and of course, as expected, Chandler began to cry his lungs out. Elsa sighed with a small smile and clapped her hands in a childish way as she made her way to the cribs of both the twins.
"Chandler, little love! No need to wake up your sister when you call for mama, okay?"
The little prince kept crying for his mother with his cute, small plump lips. Elsa scooped him up to her arms as she rocked him back and forth gently, knowing what he wants. His cries began to fade into gibberish noises, his round blue eyes calming down in satisfaction as he began to feed.
It was both one of the most strangest and wonderful feeling Elsa had ever felt. It was a peculiar, yet wondrous sensation she would never forget.
Becoming a mother...
Chandler looked up at her as he suckled, a sly gummy smile forming in his tiny lips. His hands were barely as firm as it both should be, his skin is still so fragile to feel. His tucked in arms still resembled such a raw color.
Elsa always wondered how was she so afraid back then when she learned there were two lives growing inside of her...
She didn't even expect it would be two.
Her fingers caressed those pretty black locks. They were curly in a way.
She just laughed randomly at her thoughts. These usually comes to her mind in mornings, and it will all sink as the day will shift into an afternoon, and to an evening.
She sank back to the pillows in relaxation as the little prince suckled and fed himself, her blue eyes protectively watching the other crib. Auriana curled and slept still like a rock underneath soft blankets. Both the twins are such heavy sleepers, just like their parents. A gene that can never run low.
Chandler had fallen back to sleep, with that adorable smile still on his toothless mouth.
She cleaned up and planted an affectionate kiss on the side of his head and laid him down on his own crib, whispering a faint I love you to his little ear and began to prepare for the day.
She called for the two's nannies right after (she never wanted to get nannies but it was clearly needed with such a hectic schedule. If it was only paper work she can watch after the twins quite fine.) And watched them gently pick up the two royal heirs to get them to their nursery.
"Hey, gorgeous."
She turned around in surprise to find her husband standing just beside the door, his smile reaching his green eyes.
