I cared for people too much, and in the end it was me who got burnt in the fire, trying to save them.

||♪||

When you care too much for people, you get hurt. When you care too less about people, you lose them. In every way, it is always you who is the one who gets hurt.

The things is some people find peace in other people, in music, in non-living things. And some people find salvation in their thoughts.

Most people have stories that no one knows. Sides to them that only they know. The raw, broken part of them that only they know. And they keep asking themselves.

"What is so wrong with me that people leave me?"

The thing is, it isn't their fault. In fact it is no one's fault.

That is the nature of things. That is the rule of mother nature. You will surely get something, but you can also surely lose that thing. And that is also human nature.

"Eh?"

Yun and Yona widened their eyes in confusion and surprise at Rue's words. Rue clicked her tongue, and sighed at their confusion. She massaged her temples with her hand, and looked down.

Her other hand gripped her sword's hilt tightly. She was worried about how everyone was going to behave when they heard the rest of her plan.

They are gonna hate me even more for this. But it is worth it. All this hate, it's worth it.

"Yona, Yun and Me are gonna act as girls looking for jobs and we are going to the shop where we will most likely be 'chosen to work'."

"From there we will wait till we get on the ship. I will be preparing three fireworks, any one of which will be blown of from the ship. I will get the two to safety while-"

"What do you mean 'get the two to safety'? You are going have to hide with them I'm sorry but it is what it is. You can't fight all of them." Hak intervened with Jae-ha agreeing with him.

"Yes! Nee-san you have get to safety with us!" Yona pushed even more.

"I agree, Rue, you also have to be safe." Yun also put in his opinion

"No."

"No? I'm sorry but I'm sure I heard you wrong M'lady." Jae-ha gave a cold smile

"Yona, Yun, Hak, Jae-ha, everyone stop thinking of me as a person. Yona, Yun think of me as a tool to survive. A weapon that is what I am."

"And Gigan I also have my own mission to do. So does Ken. We will be helping, but it would be appreciated if you or any of your didn't interfere with us or our mission." She said with a sigh.

"....Understood. We will stand clear from your path." Gigan have her word. A few protests were heard but that was it.

Rue smirked and looked at Ken, who was also amused. She grabbed her dagger, and stabbed in the middle of the table, on the map.

"Let us prepare for our final showdown again Kum-Ji." Rue says.

"Yeah!" Shouts were heard at the sound of Rue's words.

Rue stands by the railing of the ship gazing at the stars. She leaned her arms on the wooden railing, and put her whole weight on it.

Her ears perked up at the sound of footsteps approaching her, but relaxed when she recognized the familiar rythem of steps.

"Finally after so long, our mission is coming true, huh, Rue?" Ken said as he leaned beside her her, doing exactly what she was doing.

Stargazing.

"Yeah. It has been too long Ken. Finally after tomorrow, I can let go in peace. I can be at peace, knowing I fulfilled my promise to them. I can leave in peace." She said softly.

"You have always been stubborn. Listening to no one but yourself. But I guess," Ken shrugged, "That is your charm."

"I am like a bird, dearest Ken. No prison can bind me done. Let's enjoy this stargazing together, shall we?" Rue said, her smile so soft and brittle, as if she would disappear right there and then.

"What do you mean Rue?" A voice called out from behind. Ken and Rue widened their eyes at each other, and turned around. They come face to face with Yona, Yun, Hak and the dragons.

"Tell us M'lady. What do you mean by those words? Where are you going after everything is over?" Jae-ha pushed even more.

"Did you think I was going to stick around after the whole Kum-ji matter? Are you dumb?" She tilted her head and stares at them.

"But, we're sisters. You're going to leave? I'm worried for you." Yona protests.

"Rue?" Yun asked her, confused and distraught.

"I've never been one to stay at one place, you know that, Yun." Rue smiles, ruffling the boy's hair.

"But—" Yun was about to protest when he saw the disapproving look in her eyes. He didn't like this. He did not want to disappoint Rue. "Just be careful!' he scolded.

Rue and Ken chuckled as they bid their byes to them and left the ship.

"I feel something really bad is going to happen." Yona says to herself.

"I know princess. I feel the same." Yun agrees with her. They look at the stars, the same stars that Hak, Yona, Soo-Won used to watch as kids.

||♪||

The same stars that witnessed the horrors of that night. The screams, the cries, the shouts, the pain. The stars see everything and everyone.

Stars are not always seem by the human eye, but they are there. Stars are always there, watching the humans doing what they do best.

The moon was also a partner in the secrets of the stars. They saw everything, but can never express the horrors that they see, nor can they express the smiles that they see.

The night sky holds more secrets than daytime, because people are at their most vulnerable state at night.

The raw, incomplete and broken parts of them, that only people themselves know. And the night sky helps to hide the same vulnerable state of the people.

"Ayato liked you."

Rue froze at Ken's words before nodding and continuing to tie the ribbons on her arms.

"I know."

Ken played with his blade, tossing it up in the air and catching it.

"Kiara wanted you to buy her a red dress when we came to Port Awa."

Rue hummed as she pulled one end of the ribbon with her teeth. Ken sighed and stared at the moon.

"I know."
