Yuri comes faces to face with the child her beloved sister was so proud of and talked about all the time. Well, more like knee to face but, same thing. He squints his eyes at her. So, you're the kid from the first woman.

Anya tilts her head from pure confusion, hearing his thoughts. "Pa has no other woman."

Yuri smirks and pats her head lightly. Oho. You seem to have been trained by him on what to say huh. (Narration panel: No, you're just getting too ahead of yourself. Stop it.)

Anya heard from Twilight's thoughts yesterday that he needed to establish good relations with him and show that they were indeed your normal and happy family.

Anya makes an encouraging gesture by clenching her fists. I will help you Pa!

Anya displays an innocent look and tugs at Yuri's pants. "Ma says you are his brother." Yuri only nods.

Anya makes a thinking gesture, after a few moments, looked enlightened. "I'll call you Yuri ojii-chan!" Anya beams at Yuri to which he was taken aback, looking away and blushing. I'm an uncle now huh, well that doesn't sound too ba-- Yuri shakes his head, lightly slapping himself to reality. No! This may be part of his scheme! Stop it Yuri!

He was startled as he felt the soft hold of Anya's small hands, pulling him to come with her to the living room. Aww.. She's so cu—Yuri slaps himself, a little harder this time. No! Snap out of it!

"Oh, it seems you two are getting along." Yor comes out of the kitchen, carrying a tray. She sets it down the table. Anya immediately runs with excitement towards the mini coffee table "Cookies! Cookies! Bond, we have cookies!"

Yuri is startled as a furry gigantic dog suddenly comes out. "You adopted a dog?" Yor sits on the couch adjacent to Yuri and smiles looking at Anya. "Yes. Anya wanted to have a pet dog and she seemed much happier getting one, they seem to be best friends now." Yuri eyes the dog, who is now playing with Anya, suspiciously. So onee-san is being forced to abide by this child's orders or else she would lie and tell on Loid that she was being maltreated by onee-san, as her stepmother. I see, I get it now. (Narration panel: And thus, Yuri Briar deducts a wrong conclusion. Again.)

"Ma, where's my paper and crayons?" Anya asks Yor. "They're in your schoolbag Anya." Anya hurries and runs, rummaging through her schoolbag and returns with a piece of paper and crayons, sitting down in front of the table and starts drawing.

The telephone rings, catching both Yor and Yuri's attention. Yor stands up to and goes to it, picking it up. "Oh, you'll be late today? Mm. Okay. Take care Loid." Yuri automatically frowns at the mention of his sister's husband's name.

Yor goes to the front door, putting on flat doll shoes. "I'll go shopping for a while. Loid will be late tonight. I'll be the one to prepare dinner for us." Yuri notices and stands, following her, "I'll help you onee-chan." Yor shakes her head and pats his shoulder.

"Stay here with Anya, I'm sure she'd love getting to know more about her uncle." Yor smiles and waves before closing the door.

"Yay! Ma's going to cook the same meal again!" Anya enthusiastically exclaims. "How do you know she'd cook southern stew?" Yuri curiously asks. She answers back honestly. "Honestly, it's the only thing she knows how to cook with no food poisoning." Yuri grimaces but couldn't help but agree to an extent, even when he'd forced himself to eat it and say it was delicious the last time. I'm sorry onee-chan.

"But it's still Ma's cooking and it's really delicious!" Anya says with a smile and goes back to holding her crayons and Yuri couldn't help but soften his look. Just a little moment after, he shakes his head. This may be a façade Yuri, protect Yor onee-chan!

"Look, Yuri ojii-chan, I just finished drawi—"

"But I bet, you really think your first mom is better and can cook more meals than my onee-chan don't you?" And Yuri was not aware he'd turn to a douchebag that moment. Getting carried away with his objective.

Anya's hands that were holding the paper she was about to show to Yuri, slowly dropped to her side. "But Ma's my only Ma..."

"Do you really think that? Oh, is it because I'm her brother? I won't get mad, I promise." Yuri smiles and Anya were on the verge of tears and was now sniffling. "Y-Yuri ojii-chan is getting scary..."

Yuri then, snaps out of his own foolery. "I—" He was about to reach out to Anya when the girl flinched and ran to her room, tears already visible. Bond growled at Yuri before following Anya.

Yuri plants a palm on his forehead. What the hell am I even doing? "I even said that to a kid. What would onee-chan say? She didn't raise me to be this asshole." He then takes notice of the paper left by Anya and picks it up. He turns it around and is shocked to see it.

It was a drawing of what seems to be him and Anya on a park with her being carried on his shoulders. Written on the bottom were: "Uncle Yuri and Anya 😊"

Ever since coming here, the girl did her best to make me feel welcomed. Seriously. What the hell was I doing? He felt like the world's worst scumbag now, feeling more guilty than what he'd done to those prisoners he'd tortured at his job. He picked up the paper, not sure of how to approach the little girl he'd hurt with his words but tried taking his chances. He gave a gentle knock at her door. "Uh.. Anya, ojii-chan is really sorry. It was wrong of me to involve you to my own selfishness and childishness."

The door creaked a little, revealing a peeking sad Anya. "Did Anya do anything wrong to make you not like me? I'm sorry if I did..." Yuri held a softened look. He pats her head. "Of course, you didn't. It was just ojii-chan being bad and a meanie. Do you want me to do anything to make up for it?" Anya's face slowly brightened to which Yuri eventually felt relief and smiled, crouching down to meet Anya's height.

Anya sees the paper Yuri was holding and snatches it from him, pointing at the drawing. "I want to do this with Yuri ojii-chan next time. Promise me!" Anya sticks out his pinky, urging Yuri to do the same, which he obliged. Though I still can't accept the role of being a brother-in-law to that guy, being an uncle on the other hand, may not be such a bad thing.
