"Oh my—Loid! What happened to you?" Yor walks quickly to Loid with worry, seeing his injured state as he'd just arrived home in this late night.

Those fucking bastards, how could I not detect the planted grenade quickly within my vicinity? Twilight irritably thinks as he couldn't help but lean on the wall. If I hadn't took cover fast enough, I'd be—Ugh. Twilight groans at the constant throbbing he felt over his wounds.

Yor quickly slings his arms around her shoulders, gently leading him towards the couch. Yor leaves, getting their first aid kit, coming back and settling it down on the table, before proceeding to quickly unbutton Twilight's polo shirt. Twilight couldn't help but notice this from Yor. She's this worried huh. After Yor removes his polo shirt, she went slight self-conscious. "I'm sorry, I got carried away and r-removed your clothes myself." Twilight only smiles. "It's fine Yor." Yor nods and continues to wipes the blood with cotton to see clearly the wounds to tend to.

"Patients at work were a bit out of control today. Haha.." Twilight sheepishly says as cover up.

"These..." Yor was taken by surprise at what she'd seen, unconsciously tracing her fingers at the scars that marred Twilight's back. Twilight's eyes held a trace of melancholy in them. "Oh that. I got them when I was a teenager, I was a bit careless.." Half lying and half telling the truth.

Twilight reminisces the first mission he'd gotten when he was fourteen, searching for the location of a mass murderer at loose that time. Coincidentally finding him at a dark alleyway raising a dagger to kill a mother and a child, when he'd shielded the two, causing the sharp weapon to slash a long line at his back.

Twilight couldn't help but speak a bit apathetic, recognizing that it was as it should be, choosing this life of blood, danger, and deceit. "I know, hideous, aren't they?"

"They're not hideous." Twilight's attention automatically shifted to Yor's unexpected words.

"These scars seem to tell how much sacrifice you've given, always choosing others more than what you could've given for yourself, always sacrificing, always selfless... Protecting others over your own self. Isn't that such a beautiful thing?" And Yoru knew maybe she wasn't only talking to Loid here, that maybe it was also something she told herself.

Twilight stared at her with astonishment. Yoru was broken from her own daze, slightly embarrassed. "Oh, I was rambling off too much wasn't I? I-I didn't mean to romanticize your scars or be ignorant to your past experiences. A-Anyway, please choose to ignore what I said!"

Twilight let his fingers lightly travel the scar on his shoulder, letting out a small smile. I didn't really look at it that way. But now... "No. Thank you Yor. I haven't really told you this but thank you for doing... or rather, saying the things I couldn't say." It was Yor's turn to be left surprised before giving a soft smile and nodding at Twilight.

She returned to tending to the wounds on his left shoulder, getting carried away and pressing the cotton a bit harder on the cut to which Twilight hissed. Yor panicked and quickly blew lightly on the wound. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry! Really sorry!"

Twilight lets one of his elbow rest on his raised-up knee, looking at Yor through the side of his eyes, releasing a light chuckle. Seems I got myself quite the unconventional wife. He continued to look at her with wonder as she pursed her lips, totally engrossed in treating his wounds with light hands, being careful and controlling her strength. But unconventional has never felt this comforting and warm. He closes his eyes and smiles to himself. I think it's fine.
