"Alexander, do you have family to visit for the Midwinter's Festival?"

"Are you worrying about me? The stone-faced maid is finally opening her heart?"

"No. I was just checking to see if anyone was expecting you before deciding on your demise."

"You're always so mean to me."

"What else would I be?"

I don't know exactly when I began to call Alexander by name rather than just calling him Goose, but I'm pretty sure that we're technically friends now. I still can't stand him but I believe that's what friends are supposed to be like.

Doesn't change the fact that I can't stand him. But at least he's not as bad as he used to be.

The normally pink goose (I refuse to call him a floon), was currently in his human form. If Alexander could just shut his mouth for the rest of his life, I'm sure he'd be popular in terms of appearance. His pink hair is fluffy and naturally unkempt, pink eyes all wide like a deer's, and his freckles add a bit of flare to him.

I've also recently learned that he has dimples. That's fun.

"Seriously," I was packing away my items as today would be when students would be going home for the holidays. Which meant I'd be going home too "are you going to just stay here all Midwinter?"

Alexander let out a hum. "I was thinking of visiting someone, but I have a feeling that they won't be at home. Probably spreading Midwinter spirit or something."

"They sound active."

"You wouldn't believe how active they are for a fossil."

"That old?"

"What else would you call someone over a hundred thousand years of age?"

"Touche."

Before Alexander could continue he got this look on his face. "I gotta go."

"Floyd?"

"Floyd."

"Have fun."

"Fuck you, too."

Then, just as quick as he always came, Alexander left. I wonder if he got a sixth sense exclusively for sensing Floyd. That'd be funny and a waste of an extra sense. I didn't bring much with me in terms of belongings, so cleaning up and retrieving my items was easy. I was actually done before the selected time for leaving.

Which left me time to go make sure all of Ophelia's items were properly packed away.

With suitcase in hand and coat over my uniform, I made my way to the student dorms where things were quite chaotic. Servants were moving about everywhere, moving the items of their masters with great haste while still having to avoid bumping into each other. It reminded me of what a mall or mail room might look like during the Christmas rush. Or perhaps Black Friday. Maybe even Cyber Monday.

The hallway of Ophelia's room was just as hectic as the rest of the student dorms, people running about with boxes and suitcases alike. It was a bit silly once you thought about it, but I can't just stand in the middle of a hallway and think while all these people are moving about. Not only would it be rude, I might get trampled.

Maneuvering my way through the crowds, I made my way to the open door of Ophelia's room, greeting the other servants from the Dubannes House helping to clear everything she has out. They moved with purpose, which was greatly appreciated and expected of the people I had grown up among.

Everything looked like it had when Ophelia first moved in. I felt like I had walked into a lavish college dorm, just like when I first helped but together Ophelia's room. But I wasn't here to reminisce. I was here to pick up the items that Ophelia stressed that I was the only one allowed to touch.

Her plants.

She officially called them her 'babies', but I just can't think about it without laughing. There had been various moments where I came into Ophelia's room hearing her talk to the plants, caring for them, and all around actually treating them like her babies.

It was honestly the most adorable thing I had ever seen but I just can't help but laugh either. What would that be called? It doesn't matter much because I was given particular instructions on how to care for and carry each plant.

Evangeline is picky and doesn't like to be put next to Mei since she thinks she takes up all the sunlight, Mei likes to be right next to Aggie no matter what, and Elodie just wants to be included is the best way to summarize all the information I was given. I was given no particulars on Aggie as she always changes her mind apparently.

God, why was this so cute?

With the careful use of my air magic, the potted plants were carried one by one to the carriage that Ophelia would be using and arranged with the utmost care to the guidelines I was given upon the floor. Luckily, there were no incidents on my way to a from Ophelia's dorm room. I don't know what I would've done if any of those plants had their soil spilled upon the ground.

At this time, everything was properly put away and triple, perhaps even quadruple, checked to make sure nothing was left behind. Now all we had to do was wait for our Young Miss to get out of class.

[ This is going to be the weirdest fake Christmas Arc ever. Mostly because its April but also because of incoming feels. Be prepared. Anyway, guess what I spent all yesterday and the early morning today doing.

I was using picrew.me to make ocs and now I'm making another story with them. I've been left to my own creativity with the quarantine and this is what happens. As it's still in progress, here's some things to expect.

- Witch gets her feral werewolf girlfriend to kill bugs for her

- Vampire gushes about how cute her angel fiancee is

- And more modern fantasy hijinks because I thought of them.

I can't write anything decent that isn't Yuri for god's sake- ANYWAY. Thanks for continuing to support VRP and remember to leave your lovely comments for me. Love you~ ]
