"watch as she stands, with her holding your hand. put your arm 'round her shoulder, now i'm getting colder."

"hey, mom, i'm heading out!" will yelled as he opened the front door.

joyce came walking over. "okay, sweetie, but be careful, and call if you need me."

"i know, mom, i will." will nodded.

"okay, have fun." joyce kissed the top of his head.

he biked to mike's house. the party was meeting there for a movie marathon because mike's parents let him buy a bunch of new movies.

will got to the wheeler's house and rang the doorbell and nancy opened the door.

"hey, will, what's up?" nancy greeted.

"nothing much." will shrugged.

"mike's downstairs setting up, you can go down." nancy said.

"thanks." will walked passed her and went down to the basement.

he saw mike and blushed because of how cute he was.

"hey, mike." will smiled.

"hey, will." mike returned the favor.

"hello, will." eleven came over to them.

will's smile faded when he saw her. "yeah, hi, el..."

will plopped on the couch and mike sat beside him.

"i really am sorry about yesterday, will. you know you're my best friend and you matter." mike apologized again.

"but girlfriends come first, yeah, i know." will rolled his eyes.

"i probably shouldn't have said that either. i'm such an idiot." mike sighed.

"big time." will smirked.

"mike is stupid sometimes." eleven giggled.

will giggled along with her. "sometimes?"

"okay fine, all the time." eleven admitted.

"hey! how dare you hate on me in my own house!" mike exclaimed and they all laughed.

max, lucas, and dustin then walked down the stairs.

"what's up, guys!" max hopped down the last step.

mike stood up and went to talk to lucas and dustin about the movies while max sat down with will and el went over to her boyfriend.

"hi, max."

"yeah, yeah, hi, great, whatever. now, tell me what happened yesterday." max said.

will looked at mike then sighed. "it's about mike."

"what did that asshole do now?" max asked.

will lowered his voice. "nothing, bad. it's just him and eleven are so..."

"all over each other, i know." max whispered.

"and the reason i think it's gross is because...i think i'm jealous..." will trialed off.

max looked at will with a confused expression, and then it dawned on her. he liked mike! obviously he didn't like girls, max knew that, how could people not know that?

"you like mike, don't you!" max whisper-shouted.

"sh, max! he's right there and he's a boy! wait, how did you figure that out?"

"do i look like an idiot to you?"

"so, you don't hate me because i'm gay?" will raised his eyebrows.

"no! why would i? you're an amazing person, i could never hate you." max smiled.

"thank you, max." will hugged her and she hugged back.

"okay, who's ready to get started!" mike exclaimed.

"i am." lucas said and plopped down on the other side of max.

they all got comfortable and started the movie.

will tried to keep his eyes on the movie, but he couldn't help but look at mike and el.

they were sitting on the floor in front of the couch with their hands intertwined. will rolled his eyes and repositioned himself.

why can't he hold my hand like that. will thought to himself.

mike put an arm around eleven and she snuggled into the embrace, causing will's stomach to turn.

max put a hand on his shoulder. "pretend they don't exist. you deserve better, will."

"thanks max, that helped a little." will lied.

"good."

will looked towards the basement stairs. he wanted to go home and just lie on his bed, not having to see his crush fall in love with someone who isn't him.
