"brighter than a blue sky."

"hey, you know what i realized?" mike asked as he broke the make out session between him and will.

"what's that?" will replied.

"we never actually went on a real date." mike pointed out.

will thought for a second and realized that mike was actually right.

"yeah, that's true. we've never really went out together when it was just the two of us. sure, we've made out down here or in my room, but that's not technically a date." will explained.

"exactly, so will, would you like to go on a date with me?" mike smirked.

"i thought you'd never ask." will replied and kissed mike.

"i'm going to go get ready." will said and jogged up the stairs.

before mike could go upstairs, the phone started ringing.

"hello?" mike answered.

"it's max." max sniffled.

"max? are you okay? you sound like you were crying!" mike worried.

"i'm so confused." max cried.

"about what?" mike asked.

"el. yesterday when we were all at your h-house, i w-was doing her makeup a-and i think she t-tried to kiss me." max squeaked.

"and how did you feel about it?" mike asked.

"i...i wanted her to do it, but i'm not supposed to. i'm supposed to be straight and i'm supposed to like lucas! this is so stupid." max shook her head.

"max, this isn't stupid and you're not 'supposed' to do anything. it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, the only thing that matters is how you feel. now, i have a date with will, but after i'm going to call you and we'll figure this out together, i promise." mike ranted.

"o-okay." max quivered.

"bye." mike hung up.

he sighed and got ready for the date. after, he waiting by the front door for will.

"hey, will, are you ready? it's 6:23, i want to get there before the sun sets." mike called.

will walked down the stairs.

"you look great." mike smiled.

"you look good, too." will smiled back.

"we're going out, mom!" mike shouted.

"okay, hon!" karen shouted back.

mike pulled will out the door and hopped on his bike.

"i've never rode on the back of your bike with you before." will said.

"i know, so sit." mike replied.

will sat down behind mike and wrapped his arms around his waist. he let out a shaky breath as mike started to ride.

will rested his head on mike's back and took in his scent.

about 15 minutes later, they arrived at a big cliff.

mike pulled will along and propped down on the grass with him.

"what're we doing here?" will asked.

"the sun is setting soon and then the stars will come out." mike replied.

"that sounds nice." will sighed.

"i chose here because it's private and i know nobody will come here." mike continued on.

"good."

the sun started to set and the sky was gorgeous. there were pinks and purples and oranges and yellows. even some of the clouds were pink.

"this is beautiful." mike whispered.

"yeah." will agreed and his eyes drifted over to his boyfriend.

mike looked at will too.

"why are you looking at me?" mike asked.

"because i think you're beautiful." will answered.

mike kissed him on the lips and they had a make out session under the sunset, and it continued when the stars came out.

"the stars are here." will broke the kiss and intertwined his fingers with mike.

"look at that one, it's the biggest." mike pointed.

the star he pointed out was the brightest star in the sky. another bright star appeared next to it. both stars were big and bright and stood out among the others.

"thank you for making this date so special." will thanked.

"no, you were the one who made it special. i'm so in love with you."

"i'm in love with you too."

will and mike kissed once more and everything was perfect.
