"does that mean you're bisexual? like mike? because you dated him and liked it, and now you like a girl." will pointed out.
"i don't know. it doesn't matter if they're a boy or a girl, i just like...people." el answered.
"what does that mean, then?" will asked.
"i'm not sure. i like people for people and that's it."
"okay, let me ask you some questions. did you like mike because he was a cute boy?" will asked.
"no, i liked mike because he was nice to me when we first met and he always defended me and made me feel special. and yeah, he's cute and a boy, but i didn't care about that." el explained.
will nodded, sort of understanding what she was saying.
"what about with michelle?" will asked.
"it's pretty much the same thing, except it's a little bit different. she's less of a jerk than mike and she's way more happy and..." el started.
"bubbly." will finished.
"bubbly?" el asked.
"yeah, bubbly, someone who's lively and cheerful and energetic and talks a lot." will explained.
"yeah, that definitely michelle." el giggled and will smiled.
"well maybe you're not lesbian or bisexual you're just...a person who likes people." will concluded.
"yeah, i like people." el nodded.
will gave her a tiny smile then started playing with his fingers.
"are you nervous?" el asked, breaking the silence.
"nervous? why would i be nervous?" will raised his eyebrows.
"to see mike in a few days." el added.
"oh, uh, a little bit. i love him, i really do, but so much has happened and i'm not sure if we're going to be able to fix everything right away." will uttered.
"well, i'll be there for you, no matter what happens." el smiled.
"yeah, no matter what." will sighed.
he lied his head on el's shoulder and she put her head on top of his.
in that moment, both were so grateful to have each other.
they were satisfied with the fact that they knew that they could always count on each other whenever something gets in their way, just like siblings.
