"i wish i were..."
"boys! time for dinner!" joyce called.
there was no answer from the mike or will.
"boys?" karen yelled.
again, there was no answer from either boys.
"i'll go get them." nancy offered and walked down the basement stairs.
"guy, it's time to eat, let's go...." nancy trailed off when she saw them.
they were making out on the couch.
"oh, uh, hey nancy." will pulled away.
"what the hell, nancy!" mike exclaimed.
"it's time to eat, shithead." nancy folded her arms, then lowered her voice. "but it looks like you two have already eaten."
"shut up, just shut up, nancy!" mike hissed.
"come on, then!" nancy motioned.
both boys got up and followed nancy up the stairs.
will and mike sat down next to each other and held hands under the table.
through dinner, will, mike, and el mostly talked to each other, but jonathan and nancy would smirk and wink at them at times.
after dinner, the three went downstairs to the basement and plopped down on the couch.
"i'm so full." will sighed.
"me too." el agreed.
mike kissed will on the cheek. "same."
el smirked at them.
"what?" will asked.
"nothing, it's just...i never thought that i would find my ex-boyfriend dating my friend to be cute." el commented.
both boys looked at each other and then at el. they then gave her a big hug.
"thanks for always supporting us, el." mike smiled.
"yeah, thank you." will added.
suddenly, there was a stomping noise on the stairs.
"is that the famous will byers and eleven hopper?" the voice asked.
they all looked over to see max.
"max!" will and el shouted.
they ran over to her and each have her a huge hug.
"i feel like i haven't seen you guys in forever!"
"that's because you haven't." el replied as they all pulled away.
they all laughed and sat down on the floor in a circle.
a moment later, there was more pounding on the stairs and lucas and dustin came down.
"lucas! dustin!" will exclaimed.
"byers!" they both yelled and gave him a hug.
"el!" they turned towards her and hugged her.
after all of them saying hi to each other, the party sat in a circle and got caught up. they talked and laughed and were happy, just like old times.
