*Rewrites in Progress*
"Do not test me on my birthday, Jacob," I said, keeping my eyebrow raised as if to dare him to continue. He huffed, muttering something about birthday's being a curse, and I leant down to help the other guy up, finally catchin...

Quinn's POV
As I approached the large gate surrounding the Heart mansion, I could see why they were surrounded by a forest.
Their home was huge. Three stories high, with a small courtyard surrounded by ten roller doors for the garage, and a larger courtyard for the guest parking, looked down upon by at least sixteen windows. A spiralling turret sat off towards the east side of the house, and I could see three faces peeking through the white curtains, before they were abruptly shut.
"Holy smoosh balls, this place is huge," Gabby remarked, leaning forward so that her face was right in-between Rod's and mine. A man dressed in a suit approached us from the small booth beside the gates, armed with a gun in his belt, and approved us all, before opening the large golden gates, which had the words 'Famiglia Primo', inscribed on it.
They were accompanied by roses, which I had once heard were Tina Heart's favourite flower.
"Thank fuck we are wearing nice clothes. This place is surely worth at least ten million pounds," Rod said with a whistle, smoothing down his dark green suit. Gabby poked his cheek at his vulgar language, before he pushed her back into her seat.
"I hope they like me," she whispered, unconsciously touching one of her curls.
"They'll love you, Gabs, just as everyone does. Plus, Hazel Heart is only a year older than you, so at least you'll have company," I said, reaching back to hold her hand. She relaxed, dropping her hair from her hand, and placed both of her hands in mine, giving them a squeeze.
Parking my car near the large fountain in the middle of the courtyard, I stepped out of the car, admiring the statue in the centre of the fountain. It was of all six of Thomas' children from when they were younger, and I bit back a smile as I noticed Anastasia, only about nine or ten at the time, holding hands with her brother Grayson.
"Hey, dude, you coming?" Rod asked, gesturing towards the French doors that were our last stop before seeing the Heart family. I nodded, reaching over to open the car door for Gabby, and she sprung out, stopping once she was by her elder brother's side.
"Here we go," I said with a slightly nervous tone, before I knocked three times on the large oak doors, shutting my eyes briefly. "I'm going to shit myself."
I thanked the gods when it was Tina who opened the door, dressed rather elegantly in a fitted white dress, with her hair scooped up in a bun. "Ah, buona sera! Welcome, welcome, it's lovely to finally meet you all."
She opened her arms to hug us all, and I went stiff as her arms went around me.
The last person who had ever hugged me had been my own mother.
I patted her back awkwardly, before she parted with me to hug Rod, and lastly Gabby, who seemed more than delighted to get a hug from the joyous woman in front of us. "Come in, please! Roman and Alexander have not yet arrived, and Andrew cancelled at the last second, so you are welcome to have a seat on the couch."
