Anastasia's POV

The day was pretty normal.

That's until lunch came.

The junior school, which was the kindergarten kids to 6th grade, went out at 12pm for lunch. The senior school, which was the rest of us, went out at 1pm. I saw Astrid on her way back to her classroom with two girls and I was happy to see that she had already made friends.

Evelyn and I were just casually strolling down the hallways of the first floor when a pen was thrown at Evelyn. She barely dodged it as I turned around to see who the culprit was, and it was none other than Tash, Jacob's stalker.

She had arrived at our school in 8th grade, and like many other girls at my school, had fallen for my brother. She started to follow him down the hall, always getting pissed off if someone else sat next to him. Magically, she was in everyone of my brother's classes, and she had never liked Evelyn or me.

"Oops," she chirped, smirking. I rolled my eyes and continued walking down the hall with Evelyn, until a whimper escaped from her lips and she fell to the ground, clutching the back of her head. A textbook clattered beside her and she bit her lip to stop the tears from falling.

"Oh I'm sorry, did that hit you? I was aiming for both of you, but I guess one's better than none!" she said, and I glared at her, directing my attention to Evelyn.

"Are you okay, Eve?" I asked and she shook her head, removing her hand. Blood was smudged all over it and I gasped, removing my hoodie to hold it against her head. Tash continued to taunt us as I pulled out my phone and called Jacob, putting it on speaker..

"Hello?" he answered.

"Jacob! Tash threw a textbook at Evelyn's head and it's bleeding. A lot," I managed get out as Evelyn continued to whimper. I checked out the textbook and saw pencils sticking out of it, sharpened to points.

"Okay, cazzo, where are you, sorella?" he asked, the panic in his voice clear.

"First floor, right near Hazel's locker," I said and he hung up.

Tash was getting closer and closer, and it was like we were the prey and she was the hunter. Hazel's locker had a spare gun in it (curtesy of our elder brothers) but I couldn't reach her locker without removing the pressure from Evelyn's head, and she couldn't hold it as it was.

Thankfully, just as Tash was about to strike again, this time with her manicured hands, Hazel, Jacob and Nathan came running from around the corner, their faces all flushed. Hazel and I helped Evelyn to her feet and alerted passing teacher, who nodded frantically and ran off to get the nurse.

Jacob and Nathan were glaring at Tash as she batted her eyelids at Jacob, causing me to nearly barf. "Oh hi baby, whatcha doing chasing after that hoe?" she asked, and immediately, Jacob's body posture changed. Nathan glanced at me for a second and I nodded, allowing him to stand back and help Hazel and I.
