Vince's POV

For too long the Heart and Walker families had ruled over the mafia world.

When my brother had runaway, he and his wife had sought refuge from Thomas Heart, who had hidden them away from me. Taking my niece and nephew back to raise them properly had been my only choice, even if that meant hiring a hitman to kill their parents.

At least I had Luella.

My sweet, darling Lu.

Until Albert Walker swept her off of her feet and married her.

Luella was supposed to be mine. She was supposed to bear my children, my name. We'd promised each other as children to marry one day. But she had chosen Albert right in front of me.

I knew she had two children.

I knew her daughter looked exactly like her. And I knew what I wanted. I was going to take Luella and Aurora, and raise Aurora as my own, no matter what the love of my life said. I had never planned for the boy to get in the way.

Someone knocked on the door, disturbing my thoughts.

"What?!" I yelled out. The bastard timidly stepped in and I rolled my eyes. "Have I not told you before to never disturb me child?!"

"I-I-I I'm sorry sir, but there's someone at the door for you," she said, before running out.

I took one last swig of my bourbon, and walked down the stairs to the door. Standing there was my partner, the one person who I knew had the power to help bring down each mafia empire that stood in our way.

"News?" I asked, and he looked up at me solemnly, his face angered.

"Thomas thought it best to send his youngest off with the boy. No one knows where they have gone."

"You mean we've lost them?" I asked, stroking my chin as anger bubbled inside of me. He nodded, crossing his arms.

"We'll find them," he said confidently, a malicious grin spreading across his lips. "Nothing can keep the Heart children out of the spotlight."

Quinn's POV

After finally dragging Anastasia away from the library, we entered the kitchen, our noses filling up with mouthwatering smells. Rod and Gabby were cooking tonight, and everyone was waiting by the dining table to eat.

Nathan and Hazel were in deep conversation, sending Ana and I a quick smile before continuing. Evelyn and Jacob were passionately making out at the end of the table, and Ana squeezed my hand just a smidge tighter, obviously feeling left out by her siblings.

I squeezed her hand back and pulled a chair out for her, never letting go of her tiny hand. Her shorter 5'4 stature meant her feet swung slightly, but it just made her look even more adorable than before.

I took the chair beside her, and she leant her head back onto my chest. She traced over our intertwined hands with her free one, and hummed whilst doing it. She looked so lost in her own world, and I didn't dare to shake her from it.

Evelyn, however, didn't mind at all.

"ANASTASIA ROSE HEART!" she yelled out, breaking her from her trance. She jumped and nearly fell out of her seat. Thankfully, she only fell on me, but I still shot a glare at Evelyn.

She stuck her tongue out at me.

"I was just asking about your thoughts on this place," Evelyn continued, and Anastasia straightened herself up, playing with a loose strand of her hair.

"I love it, especially the library," she responded, smiling. Jacob rolled his eyes.

"Trust my sister to gush over a library," he chuckled. Anastasia shot daggers at him through her eyes.

"Let's not forget a certain someone's obsession with my old dolls, shall we?" she smirked and cocked her eyebrow at him.

Jacob looked shocked, and his mouth was wide open. "How did you, wait, what the fuck?"

Anastasia smiled and sat back a little in her seat.

"I'm the best hacker in the family for a reason dear brother. I've been in the cameras multiple times."

Now I was shocked. My sweet angel could hack? She just got ten times hotter, and I didn't even know that was possible. She had the perfect disguise though, being as beautiful as she was, you could never expect for her to be the one hacking into world organisation sites.

Rod and Gabby walked in, both holding trays of food. "Enchiladas anyone?" Gabby piped up, and everyone agreed, taking a few for themselves.

Whilst everyone ate, I couldn't take my eyes off of Anastasia. The way she gracefully ate, the way her eyebrows rose when she took a bite. The moans that escaped her mouth after biting into her enchiladas.

I was getting so hard from it.

I excused myself from the table after I had finished, and I could feel Anastasia's worried glance at me as I left. I entered my room and immediately took a cold shower, trying my hardest not to think of the girl I had kissed only an hour or so ago.

I planned to take her on our date on Friday, two days from now. As we were in London, I was going to take her to my favourite hidden restaurant my mother used to take Aurora and I too.

Then I was going to take her to my special spot in a secret garden hideaway by my mother's old house, and officially ask her to be mine.

My only issue was paparazzi, most of who knew her from her father's place in the spotlight.

I stepped out of my shower, and wrapped my towel loosely below my hips. As I walked to my walk in robe to grab some clothes, I heard a knock at the door. "Who's there?" I called out, slipping on some boxers and sweatpants.

"It's me," Anastasia called out. I opened my door and Anastasia tumbled in, probably from leaning on the door.

"Ow," she groaned, rubbing her head. I crouched down and picked her up, setting her on my bed. I took her head into my hands and checked for injuries. She had a small goosebump on her head. I pressed my lips to it, and her head melted into my hands.

"Just a bump, Ana, nothing too bad."

I settled myself onto my bed, and she sat awkwardly where I had placed her. Laughing, I manoeuvred her so that she was tucked under my arm, and smiled down at her, loving the warmth her body emitted.

Her head lay on my chest and she traced my v line, causing me to stiffen. "Love as much as that is amazing, I've just had a cold shower to let the little guy down there settle down."

A blush shot up her face, and she turned her head into my chest. I lifted it out, and tilted her chin up to look into her eyes. "Don't ever hide that adorable blush away from me love."

She nodded and nestled back into me. I grabbed my laptop and switched on Netflix for her to choose a movie. I quickly got up, and turned off the lights, not bothering to close the curtains on our view of the city.

I brought Anastasia back into me once I lay backdown on my bed, and quietly, we watched a movie until she fell asleep. I hugged her waist and buried my head in the crook of her neck, slowly falling asleep as well.

I had not slept so well for years.
