"I'll hopefully be able to make it to qualifying later but if the workmen are still here, I'll have to stay until they're gone." You told Lewis as you fed Mylan his breakfast. It was qualifying day of the British Grand Prix and you had promised Lewis that you'd attend the race with Mylan, however that changed whenever your ensuite bathroom got a leak and the plumbers told you that they could come out on Saturday to fix it and so you're plans went down the drain. "It's okay Y/N. Hopefully you'll be able to come to qualifying but if not ... you'll be at the race tomorrow. No plumber is coming out on a Sunday." Lewis stood up, he was ready to leave for Silverstone and Angela would be here any moment to pick him up. At the hoot of the horn, Lewis stood up and walked round the table to give you a kiss which you happily responded to before collecting his bag and walking out the door.

"Let's hope we get to enjoy a day at the races." You told Mylan as you continued to feed him. It was nearly an hour later when Mylan was playing in the living room with some of his toys that the doorbell rang. Hopping to your feet you answered the door and were greeted by 2 men dressed in work overall; the plumbers, thank goodness – maybe you'd get to the circuit after all. You let them in and guided them to the ensuite bathroom connected to the bedroom you shared with Lewis.

"I noticed the leak the other day when I had gotten out of the shower. It didn't seem too bad, but it got worse yesterday when I had the sink full while cleaning." I explained glancing back to the workmen following me throughout my home. They nodded in understanding. "I could be anything from a loose pipe to possibly a whole in a pipe that has just gotten bigger overtime." One of the men said. You left them to it and went downstairs to play with Mylan. You couldn't hear much ruckus going on upstairs, so you hoped that that was good news and that the leak was as serious as you and Lewis had initially thought. Nearly half an hour into the job you thought it was best to check on the workmen and bring them a cup of tea and some biscuits as a thank you snack when your phone began to ring and upon looking at the caller ID it appeared to be an unrecognised number. You thought it was best to answer in case something had happened to Lewis during his final free practice. It wasn't, however.

"Hello?" You questioned while pouring boiling water into the mugs.

"Hello, is this Y/N Hamilton?" the voice said, confused Y/N responded confirming their inquisition. "Yes, this is M & G Plumbing Services. We're really sorry to inform you that we'll be unable to attend to your leak today." Y/N stomach dropped. If this was the actual plumbing company they'd booked then who was upstairs in her house, her eyes wandered to the ceiling as if imagining what the 'plumbers' could be up to. With a shaky voice she responded, "Really? It's just there are currently plumbers here already."

"Oh ... did you book another company? We definitely haven't sent any plumbers to your address."

"No, only you guys." Y/N hands started to shake, and she swiftly moved from the kitchen to the living room where Mylan was sitting without a care in the world playing with his Noah's Ark toy.

"Ok miss, we highly recommend that you vacate the premises and ring the police." The actual plumber said through the phone. Y/N hurried to gather Mylan into her arms and quickly packed some toys into his bag so that he'd have something to occupy himself with when she heard a commotion upstairs. Fearing the worse, Y/N hurried out of the house dragging Mylan behind her and with shaky hands and voice she thanked the people on her phone and ended the call before rapping on the door of her neighbour's house. The answered the door and upon seeing the distressed image of Y/N instantly welcomed her into their home and sat her on the settee before guiding Mylan into the games room where their children were currently playing. It didn't take long for them to get the gist of the situation and without further instructions handed Y/N a warm cup of tea and phoned Lewis from her phone and the police from their own phone. They received no answer from Lewis, but Y/N knew they wouldn't because his phone would be in his driver's room.

"Ring Angela," Y/N whispered, "She'll answer." Lorraine, her neighbour, let out a sigh of relief and began to rapidly speak to Angela. It was also at this point that Thomas, Lorraine's husband, had gotten through to the police and was informed that they'd send a unit out to their current location. When Lorraine finished her call, she turned to Y/N, "They're going to call him in and he's going to come home. You'll be okay." She sat beside her and wrapped an arm around Y/N shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze while they waited for Lewis.

Y/N had never been for thankful for Lewis' insistence at living close to Silverstone as he arrived home within 20 minutes, still dressed in his racing suit it looked as if he'd jumped from one car to another as he ran into the living room of the Montgomery's home pulling Y/N into his arms, and running his hands up and down her arms easing her shaking stature as she leaned into his embrace. "Where's Mylan?" Lewis asked Lorraine who stood beside him ready with a cup of tea for Y/N.

"He's in the games rooms with Freddie and Liam." Lewis let out a sigh of relief and focused on Y/N again when his attention was caught by Thomas arriving back in the living room.

"I've just talked to the police. They couldn't find the men, but they'll need to talk to Y/N and get a statement and you'll need to give them an inventory of what you had so they can determine what's been stolen." Lewis nodded in understanding.

"Come on," Lewis said pulling you up, "You andMylan are coming with me this afternoon. There is no chance that I'll be leavingyou home alone for a while."
