The backlash you received from F1 fans after your move to Mercedes was announced was unbelievable as many accused Toto of favouring you as you were married to him but as you said each time you were asked, (which was a lot), you didn't ask Toto to give you the seat and your data proved that it was the right move for Mercedes. But that wasn't all the criticisms you received as it seemed that every mother and their dog had an opinion about you being an F1 driver and a mother to a growing four year old. Despite the countless times that you'd told everyone that Jack, your son, loved everything that revolved around Formula 1 and that the moment that you or Toto sensed that he's distressed and needed you more than your current career could allow then you'd cross that bridge when you got there.

You had been happily married to Toto Wolff, the Mercedes team principle, for 7 years now and for 4 of those you'd been blessed to have your son Jack apart of your lives. You had taken a 2 year break while you were pregnant and recovering from said pregnancy, but on your return to the sport you were offered a seat at Mercedes and you accepted it without-a-doubt – you'd be a fool not to. When you started your career in karting and single-seaters you struggled. Being a woman in the United Arab Emirates was difficult as there were a lot of ideologies that you had to overcome and while the UAE was more liberal you still had to prove yourself. And that's exactly what you did. Abu Dhabi 2019 – Lewis Hamilton had won the Driver's Championship but there was still the opportunity to win the race and it was your home race.

It was tight but you succeeded. You had won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The first woman to do so. It was a lifelong dream to win in front of your home crowd and as you did your victory lap around Yas Marina, the cheers were deafening, and you couldn't have been prouder of yourself and of your country. As you parked the car in Parc Ferme you jumped from the car, hugged your fellow winners; Lewis and Max, before leaping into the arms of your team who were waiting at the barriers to congratulate you. You laughed with tears in your eyes and walked with Lewis up to the cool down room to get a much needed drink to quench your thirst but as you entered you received the shock of your life; Toto and Jack were stood waiting for you and it was the one thing you didn't realise you needed until it was there.

Running up to Jack you bent down and pulled him in for a hug, pressing kisses to his face as he laughed and squealed. Lifting him into your arms you squeezed him tightly and wrapped an arm around Toto, leaning into his side. It was perfect. You being able to celebrate your win with your family was the best feeling in the world.

It was time for the podium. Lewis and Max were called out and the crowd cheered as they took their position on the podium. "And the race winner: Y/N Wolff!" The crowd cheered and clapped as you walked out onto the podium and the screams only got louder as they saw you walk out with Jack holding onto your hand and the small headphones strapped over his ears. You smiled and helped him climb onto the podium beside you before Toto walked out and stood on the constructor's podium. It was emotional hearing the UAE National Anthem for the last time of the season, but it was bittersweet as you couldn't wait to spend time with your family.

"Let's talk to our race winner, Y/N Wolff! What a win! Are you excited for the off-season?" Martin Brundle, who was the podium interviewer for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, asked. You began to talk but were distracted by Jack tugging on your race suit to get your attention, without a second thought you leant down and picked him setting him on your hip.

"It's rather bittersweet. I'm excited to end the season on such a high and to have a few months off to spend with the family but at the same time, I love racing and I can't wait for the season to start again in March."

"I'll come back to you but let's go talk to our second and third place winners," Martin moved across the podium to speak to Lewis and Max, and meanwhile I embraced Toto into a hug with Jack squeezed between us. This was perfect. This was all you needed in your life.
