A whole month has passed since the incident. YG Entertainment took immediate action and strengthened their security, upgrading the CCTV cameras and whatnot. They splurged on new bodyguards that could actually hold their ground and had to restrict the movement of BLACKPINK, meaning they would be accepting only a few brand offers in order to keep them inside often. The other girls didn't mind the drastic measures, there were other things to worry about.

Jennie paced around her room, muttering a few words to herself as her dog, Kuma, looked at her curiously. Yes, it had been a whole month since the incident happened, but the brunette couldn't help but feel anxious. She did something wrong—she exposed private information in the midst of panic. She tried to comfort herself by saying that it was simply for the sake of rescuing her fellow member, but she couldn't help but feel guilty as she realized that the conversation could've gone a lot of ways had she stayed calm.

"Kuma, what should I do? I messed up big time." Jennie says, her voice wavering as she glances at her brown dog, gently gnawing at the chew toy. Her pacing then comes to a halt as there was a sudden faint knock on her door.

"Jennie?" Jisoo's head peeps inside, eyes scanning the room before landing her gaze onto the brunette. The older smiles, "Lunch is ready."

Jennie hesitates. Should she talk it out with Jisoo right now? Or wait a little longer? Her heart pounds against her chest as she reaches out to her door, just as Jisoo was about to close it. "Unnie, wait!"

Jisoo halts her action before peeping back into the room, eyebrows raised as she looks at the brunette, "Yes?"

Jennie paused before taking a deep breath. It was now or never. "Can we talk?"

Jennie's P.O.V

Never in our years of friendship did we have to talk like this. I let out a sigh of relief when she nodded and let herself inside my bedroom. Ever since the scandal started, Jisoo and I grew distant with each other. We would talk only when required to and would often ask random questions whenever we were in music shows or events just so that it would like we were on good terms. I looked back at my outburst a few months back, and would immediately feel the guilt seeping through. It was suffocating me, and hopefully, this talk with Jisoo would give me the release and relief I need.

"What's up Jendeukie?" Jisoo asked and sat down at the edge of the bed.

I took a deep breath. "About the incident..." I started, my voice rather low but hopefully is audible to Jisoo, "I'm really sorry."

She looked at me as if I was nuts. Jisoo slightly tilts her head to the side and raises a brow, "What do you mean? You did nothing wro-"

"I did!" I interjected, frowning as I look down. I just couldn't look at her in the eyes. I really felt guilty, it was as if I have failed at being her bestfriend. Instead of supporting her through the scandal, I acted out of anger and completely shut her out, "I spurted out something that I shouldn't have and you know that!"

I looked up and see a frown on Jisoo's face. I held my breath as she spoke, "But can I really blame you for telling her that? You were stressed-"

"Jisoo-unnie, you know I could've handled that differently..." I interjected once again. She was too kind. I don't really deserve to have her as my bestfriend, "And I messed up! What's going to happen once that sasaeng has her hands on some journalists? Another scandal! The company is going to break you up and- God, it's not even fake anymore-"

My rambling comes to a halt once I feel a warm sensation on my shoulder. With widened eyes, I glanced to my side and see Jisoo looking at me with sad eyes. She then pulls me into an embrace, "Jendeukie, you don't have to worry about me anymore... I'll get through this- We'll get through this."

I could feel my heart clench as she utters out those words. She really has a heart of gold; she can't get mad at me. Despite the reassuring response, I couldn't help but still feel guilty. I pressed my lips into a thin line as I gently push Jisoo away from the hug, averting my gaze away from her. "Unnie, stop that."

It was silent for awhile before Jisoo spoke again. "What do you mean?"

I sighed before looking at her straight in the eye, gesturing to all of her, "Being kind to me..." I finally uttered out, "I messed up big time."

No trace of emotion could be seen on Jisoo's face for a few seconds before a smile graced her lips. "You must be really dumb to think that I won't forgive you for something like that." She says, "Aren't we friends? I would forgive you in a heartbeat. No matter what situation we are in."

Friends. Heh.

That's right. I am a friend- No, scratch that, I am a horrible friend. A friend is supposed to be supportive and understanding; which was the complete opposite of me. During the times when Jisoo faced criticism, not once did I think to step in and cover for her. I was mad at her; mad at her for breaking the golden rule. I was too caught up with my feelings that I have failed to even consider hers as well. I was mad for nothing. I got mad at my bestfriend for something so trivial.

Tears start to well up in my eyes. I sniffed as the first tear flows down my cheeks, and before I knew it, I was a sobbing mess. Arms then caged around me, pulling me into a warm embrace. I sobbed more, burying my face into the crook of her neck.

"I'm so sorry unnie... For everything." I managed to utter out between sobs. I then felt the gentle caress of Jisoo's fingers on my head as she was trying to calm me down.

"You must've felt guilty all this time, Jendeukie.." Jisoo mutters, sadness very evident in her tone as I could feel her hug tighten around me, "I should apologize too, for not realizing sooner."

As I continue to sob in Jisoo's arms, I realized how I badly missed being with her. She may not have been the first friend I made, but she is definitely one of those who will be staying with me for a long time. I'll make sure that nothing bad happens to her, that is a promise I am willing to keep.

It was already time for the students to head back home. A teenage girl was currently packing her stationery when she hears the hushed voices of the girls behind her. At first she paid no mind, thinking how it was probably just some school gossip, but the name of a certain celebrity caught her attention.

"Jungkook-oppa's relationship was fake?" One student uttered out as her group of friends started to make noises of agreement.

"That's what this article says! Remember when a sasaeng broke into BLACKPINK's dorm? Apparently, she heard Jennie say that the relationship was fake, that's why she let go of Jisoo.."

The eavesdropping female student's actions came to a halt. She then quietly pulls out her phone, unlocking the device before quickly turning to 'Naver', and at one of the top real-time searches, there it was: jungkook jisoo fake dating scandal.
