Hey, sorry it's been awhile. I'm on a writer's block. I hate it :)

Loving him hurt.

You dont know if it was still worth it, but you still held on. Cause, you'll never know the outcome unless you try it for yourself.

Although, he seems to have different plans.

He did everything to avoid you, ever since your sixth year started, he didn't even take a glance at you. You dont remeber having a conflict on your fifth year, so what did you do wrong?

Every night, you lay awake. Hoping he was alright. The both of you drifted away, as if you weren't in a relationship.

Your friends ask you why you're still with him, but you just cant seem to answer. Because you werent sure yourself if this really was worth it.

And right now, he, Draco Malfoy, stood infront of you. His face stone cold, his hair and suit being blown by the wind in the Astronomy tower

He knew, he was one step from being two steps away from you. He hated it. But what can he do?

A tear fell from your eye, you knew this was the end for the both of you.

"why did you call me here?", you asked

Draco looked up, and sighed, "we need to talk.", he said, looking back at you. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you walk towards him, by the railings. The both of you looked in a space, not knowing how to start the conversation

You then, decided to be the bigger person, and asked, "i know where this talk would lead to, but do we really need to? Three years of being together, are we really just gonna throw it away like that?"

"it's for the better", he said, trying his best to keep his voice cold

A tear once again fell, you bit your lip, glancing at him, "you've been keeping secrets. I've been there for you, havent i? All i want is the truth, Draco. We can do this together, if you just tell me what's wrong"

He swallowed the lump in his throat. It pained him to do this. But he cared for you, he loves you. Too much that he's willing to let you go

"nothing's wrong. We simply just.. Drifted apart, Y/N. And still being together- it's just not healthy. For me, for you, for us.", Draco said, pulling his eyes away from you

Because he knew, once he looked at you, with tears in your eyes, he'll take back everything he said. Merlin, he'll run away with you if he could

But it's not that simple. Not when he's a death eater. Not when the dark lord could track you in a second, and get you killed.

At Draco's words, even if it hurt, you nodded. A sniffle came from you, and it took everything from him to not grab you and pull you to his chest to comfort you

"i understand, Draco.", you said, "but i want you to know, that i still love you. I probably wont stop, but i know this relationship isn't going anywhere if there's no trust."

You turned around, and started walking away slowly, hoping for him to stop you, and tell you that it doesn't need to come to this

"Y/N", that stopped you from taking another step. You slowly turned around, and looked into his eyes. Unlike earlier, his eyes now held pain. "i still love you too"

A sad smile crept up your face. You nodded, and waited for him to continue. Cause it was obvious he still wanted to say something, or, some things, but he didnt

Sighing, you said, "i hope you become happy"

And with that, you left him, and as soon as you did, tears flooded his eyes. They fell on his pale skin.

Draco looked at the stars, "how many nights would it take to count the stars?", he wondered aloud, his cheeks wet with tears, "that's probably the time it would take to fix my heart.", he laughed bitterly, "how many nights would i wish i just stayed?"

He knew he'd never count. Because he knew,

Anyways, sorry, this took forever, and it's kinda lame, but i liked it, and i listened to Infinity none stop while writing this, because i wanted to set the mood, and just be all sad
