The great hall were filled with students, it was currently dinner, and while everyone was eating, you were swooning over a brunette boy.

Laurie Redlock had his curly hair falling on his face, his hazel eyes staring at a Ravenclaw across the room.

He wore the same green robes as you, but i guess that's not enough for him to even notice you.

But even if he did, there was no way you could be with him. Because you're literally engaged right now.

At that, you looked beside you, where your best friend sat. He was focused on his food, and everytime he sees you basically drooling over Laurie, he would turn salty.

Playfully glaring, you said, "you're just jealous because i'm giving him more attention than you."

Those words were supposed to be a joke, but to Draco, it really wasn't.

It was true, he's jealous. Because he's literally your soon to be husband!

Back when the both of you were thirteen, when you were eating dinner with your and his family, and your mother blurted out the words; "the both of you are getting married", it didn't upset Draco.

Infact, it was the opposite. That day, he realized he liked you, and he still does.

For the past two years, you didn't mind being in an arranged marriage, but then Laurie transferred here from Ilvermorny, and now, here you are.

"i'm just saying, you can't even be with him even if the both of you liked each other- not that he does. He likes that Ravenclaw.", Draco told you, eating a piece of chicken

Rolling your eyes, you said, "if he did though, i'd do something, you know? I'm not getting tied in something i don't want to be tied in."

Those words made Draco's chest clench. He thought, that maybe you felt the same. That you like- or even love him as much as he does.

He cleared his throat, "you wouldn't go against your parents' wishes, darling", he laughed, finally finishing his plate

"oh yeah? You don't know that.", you said sassily, crossing your arms and facing him properly

Draco laughed, "i've known you since we were little, so i do know that you would never go against your parents. I hate to break it to you, but you're stuck with me."
