"you snuck into my house?"

As I walked out the apartment building, I was met with Taehyun's usual Lincoln next to the sidewalk. Swinging open the door Taehyun jumped a little from his seat as I could tell he had been up all night. Like he has been for the past couple of days. On Monday night he drove me home from Jisung's and kept watch outside my complex all night. And not to mention has started driving me to school. "We can't keep doing this. You're looking dead at this point" I say frowning. He had developed dark circles, blood shot eyes, and probably back pain. "I'm not taking any chances" Taehyun replied pulling away from the side walk. As much as I wanted to protest more, he wasn't wrong. I was still shaken up and worried from Mondays events, and having nightmares sometimes. "But what about sleep, school, or TXT?" I question. Taehyun yawned lightly while keeping his eyes fixated on the road. "The boys are fine and they know whats going on, school isn't a problem, and sleep isn't that big of a deal" he replies, but I couldn't help but scoff. "Really? Then explain how you didn't notice I came a half an hour early?" I ask with a head tilt. He turned to look at me for a second and then to the clock in the car. "So you're telling me... I could've slept a half an hour more?" he asks squinting at me. "Oh shut up, pull in there. I thought I would get you breakfast for what you've been doing" I explain while pointing to the donuts shop that my dad and I go to. I could see a smile start to form on his lips, and it was probably the first time all week.

"I'll admit, this is nice" Taehyun states as he takes a seat upon the couch in the donuts shop. "You see" I say smiling softly. I sipped quietly on my coffee and ate my breakfast as Taehyun practically devoured his. "Have you heard any news from him?" he suddenly questioned after taking a bite of his food. By him, he means Jisung. "Nope, have you?" I ask which he just shook his head. Jisung said he would see tomorrow, back during Monday. It's Thursday and I can't ignore the turning in my stomach that something went wrong. I wouldn't say I know for sure, but why would he just not show up? I checked by their house, but no sign. And they never shows up the diner, and Carmen said there was no sign at the laundry mat. Speaking of Carmen... I told her. Everything. Her reaction was not something I expected to be honest. She first didn't believe, but as I answered her questions she started understanding. She took a day to herself as she thought about everything, and ultimately understood. I think the main reason why I told her was because if I didn't then it would be like Taehyun and I. She'd get bits and pieces of information with no explanation, and making her feel oblivious. It just wasn't fair. "How's the rest of the guys doing?" I ask which Taehyun takes a minute to talk before wiping his mouth. "Well, Yung was a friend to Beomgyu. He was of course upset, but he didn't show it. Instead he's keeping quiet and just working" he explains. "Who exactly was Yung?" I ask. "He was someone great with hacking, coding, anything to be honest. You give him anything to do with electronics, that guy knew it. He didn't belong to any gangs, but rather a neutrality. Gangs would go to him for help, and it's been an unspoken rule that nothing happens to Yang. Mainly because he was so useful, and honestly he was a good guy... Just put his works where there was most profit" Taehyun explained. He seemed a little sad when he spoke of him, but how could he not.

As I glanced upon computer screen in front of me I had this strange gut feeling. Taking out one of my ear buds I heard a faint noise coming from outside the apartment. Getting up to glance quickly out the door of my room, my heart practically hit the floor. Out the window on the fire escape was a hooded figure just climbing up. I'm either about to pass out or cry at this moment. Every bone in my body was beginning to flood with adrenaline. Why did it have to be the one time I called Taehyun off for the night? Bolting back in my room I search my drawers for any weapon, and the only thing I could come across was a pair of scissors. Suddenly hearing the living room window open my heart began to pound like crazy. Where do I hide? Where do I go? As I was about to make a mad dash for a closet I heard a voice at my doorway. "Kaya?". The light suddenly flipping on and being met with the sight of Jisung pulling off his hood. Dropping the scissors I ran and hugged him quickly. "Woah, woah, woah- what happened?" he questioned as he wrapped his arms around me. Tears began to weld up in my eyes as he spoke and I couldn't hold it. "I thought you were unknown" I said in a weak tone. I was crying out of fear, stress, and relief... that he was okay. "Aw, angel" he said leading me to take a seat on the bed. "It's okay, it's just me" he says holding me, but his words made me pause and pull away. Looking up to the idiot with tear filled eyes he couldn't help but chuckle. "Do you know how much you worried me? You said you'd see me tomorrow!" I stated before hitting his chest. "I'm sorry. We got caught up with stuff. I'm okay" he replies. Turning my back to him I couldn't help but cross my arms. "And you snuck into my house? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" I question. Hearing evident chuckling again before his arms wrapped around behind me. "I didn't know if your dad was home, or if Taehyun was near. Please forgive me" he explains. I was quiet which caused him to lightly pepper the side of my neck with kisses. Earning a giggle for me he stopped before bringing me down to cuddle next to him. Turning around to look at the face I missed so much I couldn't help but smile softly. Bringing his hand up to wipe my tears it made me feel shy. "Don't worry, you're a pretty crier"he states which causes me to chuckle.

Staring up at the ceiling as Jisung runs his fingers through my hair, I felt calmed down at this point. "So what happened?" I questioned looking to him. He sighed lightly before continuing to play with my hair. "We think Yang found out some stuff on unknown and in was killed in result. But we couldn't find any evidence. No traces of anything, no evidence in the security cameras in the whole city,  and no help from any of his friends. So at this point we contacted Haechan so he can look into it" Jisung explained. "But then won't that put Haechan at risk?" I question. Jisung laughed lightly before holding me closer. "Haechan is located in head quarters. If they want to get him, it's going to be quite a challenge" he explains. "How powerful is NCT?" I ask with a slight pause. Jisung didn't seem to fear the fact of anyone getting to Haechan, which made me question their power. "I'd say we're a top 5 gang, but of course nothing close to BTS" he replies which the name caught my attention. Taehyun's brother gang! "How powerful are they?" I question with my eye brows raised. "Extremely. Although they're not the oldest, but they've became the most powerful. Just 7 guys who started from the bottom, shot to the top and is feared by every gang" he explains. His explanation made my eyes widen. "Even you guys fear them?" I question. "We wouldn't say fear, but rather respect just like anyone else. Most gangs don't cross in their zone considering the consequences. Taeyong has met their leader a couple of times, and they have a mutual agreement within each other. So we don't tamper with their customers, and they don't tamper with ours" he says. "What happens if someone tampers with their business?" I question. I almost felt annoying for the amount of questions I had. Jisung's eyes widened before chuckling. "More than likely their dead. If you're against BTS... then the whole world is against you" he remarked. I think he could tell from my chilled expression from how scary they sounded. "Calm down angel. They don't usually use violence anymore as they've established the highest name. The gang usually deals with huge markets, investments, and charity. As most of their profit goes back to people in need" he explains in comfort. If I'm being honest the nickname is growing on me. "So they aren't necessarily scary?" I question. "Not when they don't need to be. But what do I know, I've never even talked to them" Jisung replied shrugging.

The whole world of gangs was being explained directly to me. But a part of me felt horrible considering my dad was trying to get information I was learning. I could never tell him, I'd never see daylight again.
