My life seemed to be at a stand still. No emotions to show to anyone. No one to love as I had loved once before. I had given up on loving anyone with emotions strong enough that I could truly say I was in-love with them.

And this day, no matter how much I told my self that It's nothing, I was never been prepared. Especially now Kathrina's approaching our table with Carina just tailing behind her

Patrick stood up to meet her halfway, she leaned in and gave him a lip-cheek kiss then she gestured Carina to come closer. I looked up at Carina's reaction, she was hesitant at first but despite her obvious hesitation that they'll seat elsewhere, Kathrina dragged her along with her

"Kath, Cari .. This is Meg" Patrick began and Kathrina just flashed me that really creepy smile I've known her for

"Yeah.. I know her. We went to the same high school"

Patrick turned to me with a smile "Really? Well.. what do you know, you learn something new everyday"

"Yeah" Kathrina uttered taking one last look at Patrick before she turned her gazes back at me
"Who would have thought na kakilala mo pala si Meg, JP.. And Meg,ang ganda mo!"

"Sana ikaw din no?" I murmured under my breath but was surprise that Kathrina heard it afterall

"Meg.. Kath my cousin and Cari right here" your ex-girlfriend

"Hi" Carina or rather Cari as what Patrick had mentioned gave me a little timid smile and a little wave at me. It was actually unexpected of her to do that. Maybe I was just being paranoid that ex girlfriends are always that really possesive despite the fact that they're denoted of that position as a girlfriend

She projected sweetness, sophistication and serenity, as if I have witnessed a reincarnation of Audrey Hepburn and brought back the old days of Hollywood glamour.

Her make-up was sheer perfection due to the extensive focus on rosy blush on her high cheekbones that gave more a soft side to her elegant features and subtle colors around the eyes. She was just beautiful despite simplicity

Kath, on the other hand, didn't even blink or so.. She just looked at me for awhile and came to scrutinize me over. Her eyes settled on me for a long period of time before she dragged her eyes back at Patrick

"You're not suppose to be here at Makati, JP especially not at this hour" She said

"Well.. I was just having a quick breakfast with Meg. Don't worry my classes wont be 'til 9"

"I see. Well you don't actually mind sharing tables right?"

"Oh sure" Patrick gestured Kath to sit just right beside my chair which became the really mainstream awkward amongst all awkward thing to match with the dead air I was sharing with her. It was more awkward than it already was--- the whole set up made my stomach flipped.

I'm starting to feel uncomfortable with the set up especially when Kath's staring at me like that

"Murderer!"
