Dan stood up from the lunch table throwing out his scraps before glancing at PJ and Sophie. "Those two" he giggled turning around to be met with blue eyes. "Oh hi Phil!" He smiled at the other boy. "Wanna go walk around?" Phil asked "but-" Phil cut Dan off "courtyard?" He asked smiling. Dan liked Phil's smile "sure why not" Dan nodded following Phil outside. Their hands brushed against each other. Pulling away quickly both boys rushed an apology.
"Hey Phil?" Dan asked walking beside him. "Yes Dan?" Phil responded "thank you" Phil looked at Dan "for what?" He giggled "for being my friend, it means a lot, I know I have PJ... but something just feels right to be with you." Dan confessed looking Phil in the eyes.
Phil nodded "I agree, we do have something. I'm glad we met, you've given me a brighter outlook on life. So thank you." Phil turned towards Dan and engulfed him into a warm hug.
