Chapter 11

Luz POV

P.S. Art is mine.

"Ughhhhh! She lied to me. Why did she lie to me?" I shout at no one. I pick up a rock and throw it off the cliff. I quickly draw the ice spell and start throwing shards off  ice off the cliff.

"I can answer that." I turn around to see Amity leaning against the tree. I drop the shard of ice I was about to throw. She had a frown painted on her beautiful face.

"I'm-I didn't want you to worry about me. I'm not completely used to depending on someone or sharing how I feel. My dad also said that he would beat the person I told twice as much if I told them. I didn't want you to get hurt." Amity says as she slowly lowers herself onto the floor. She looks up at me and pats the spot next to her. I sigh but nothing can keep me from sitting next to her. I giver her a small smile before sitting down next to her. She leaned her head against my shoulder and wrapped her arm around my waist. My face flushes red. We stayed in a comfortable silence.

"I'll have to go home Tomorrow. He'll be really upset if I don't and if he knows that I was with you he'll hurt you. " her tone small afraid that I would shout at her for saying that. She sighs before moving to sit in front of me," promise me that you won't do anything irrational. I don't want you getting hurt or worse. I can't live with myself if anything were to happen to you." She places her hand on my cheek. I couldn't help but lean into her hand. It was so warm and soft.

"I wouldn't be able to live with myself if anything more happens to you. You mean to much. I don't want this to continue happening to you. You don't deserve this." I explain as I wrap my arms around her waist. I gently pull her closer to me. She lays her head on my chest and I begin to play with her hair.

After a while I spoke up,"I promise but that won't stop me from worrying. I'll always worry I lov- I mean your my best friend I don't want anything to happen to you." I catch myself before accidentally admitting my secret. She looks up at me and gives me a small smile.

"Thank you. I'll try to be careful. Or make up an excuse." Amity says looking me in the eyes. With the light of the moon and stars her eyes become so bright. Like when she is exited about something. She lays her head kn my chest and closes her eyes. It takes my entire will power to not kiss her. Ugh I'm so want to kiss her right now.

"Than why don't you?" I turn my head to see Em leaning against the tree the my back was to.  I quickly looked down to see if Amity was awake but she must've fallen asleep. I run my fingers through her hair before looking up at the other Blight.

"I'm not so sure if she has a thing for me and if she does I'm not sure if she would feel comfortable with me kissing her out of no where. I don't want to make her uncomfortable." I say as I pull her closer to me. She smiles in her sleep and nuzzles into my neck.

"Well you should do it before someone else does." Ema says and jumped when she heard Eda," I told her that." I look between the two.

"What is this girl meeting outside?" I jokingly say. I feel Amity shiver slightly I couldn't help but to smile at her before pulling her closer to me. I look up at Em and Eda. "Well kid we'll keep on doing this until you tell her. But seriously Mr.Blight is a very powerful wizard compared to any of you guys. You shouldn't do anything until you either know what your dealing with or know how to protect yourself better." Eda warns as she walks over and ruffles my hair. She smiles at Em before walking to the house.

"She is quite a slippery on she tricked me just to come out here with you." Em says as she gestures to the sleeping girl in my arms. her expression turns stern,"Please don't hurt her. She has gone through so much I don't want her to be hurt. She really cares about you so please don't do anything irrational. I'll try to watch after her at home the best I can.Good night Mittens" Em bends down and kisses her sister on the head. She ruffles my hair,"Good night Cutie." I guess that's my nickname now. I give her a small smile before picking Amity up and walking to the door. I walk up to my room and place her on my bed. I tuck her in and prepare to get out of the room when I feel a slight tug at my hand.

"Um-D-do you mind if you s-stay .here. With me. L-like sleeping here with me?" she stutters as she looks at everything but me. I put my hand under her chin lifting it so she can look at me. I giver her a gentle smile before jumping into bed and pulling close to me. I feel her nuzzle into me which makes a smile grow on my face.

"Good night, hermosa." I say hopping she doesn't know what I had just said. She pulled away for a little with a confused facial expression. I avoid her eyes,"Sorry I sometimes switch over to Spanish." Amity just shrugs before mumbling a small,"Goodnight, Luz." I smile down at her before letting sleep consume me.

I didn't dream of anything all except the outstanding youngest Blight. But my dream was cut short by the girl of my dream who was sobbing at the feet of my bed. I quickly grab a piece of paper and draw the light glyph.I hover it near Amity before sliding down to sit next to her.

 I wrap my arm around her shoulder.She just looked at me before hiding her face with her hair. "Tell me when you are ready. I'll wait." I whisper pulling the green haired witch closer to me. I run my hand through her  hair not a word said between us. But it didn't really matter to me.
