Chapter 10

Sana's POV

"What? You saw him? How did he get there?" Nayeon exclaimed.

We're facetiming now.

"That's my question also. Out of all the places in the world, why here?" I blurted while sitting in the corner of my bed. It's almost midnight here. Wookie is already asleep.

"Wow, Sana! After all these years, you meet again. And the most unbelievable thing is he met and talked to Wookie.
Wait! Did Jin Oppa saw him?" she asked.

"No, no, he didn't. Good thing he didn't." I sighed of relief. She sighed also.

"So, what's your plan now? What if he will found out about Jae Wook?" she asked again with worried eyes.

"I don't know, Unnie. I didn't expect this to happen. I mean I know I cannot hide forever but I'm not prepared now." I'm really worried now. I was worried about what Nayeon said.
'What if he found out about Jae Wook?'

"Sana-ya, I think you need to know this. Actually, Jungkook is already engaged. It's all over the news. He's engaged about 2 months ago. As far as I heard, the wedding will be next month. Sorry I didn't tell you this because I don't want you to get distracted over there.
So maybe I think he will not bother you because he's already committed. And maybe he thought you're married or what." Nayeon said.

"H-he's engaged?" I stuttered. Why I suddenly feel so sad upon hearing the news?
I lowered my eyes and smile bitterly.

"Sana-ya, I know that look. Please don't be sad. Sorry if I tell you this. But this is what you want right? To hide all of this?" she said.

Yeah, Nayeon's right. This is my choice, so I should face any pains and disappointments in exchange for hiding the truth.

I took a deep breath."It's okay, Unnie. I will get over this. I have been through the worst before." I smiled.

She smiled but her eyes are still worried.

"Arasseo! Please update me always, okay? I have to go to work now. And please cheer up. Just focused on your studies and to Wookie, arasseo? I love you, Sana-ya. Please send my hugs and kisses to Wookie. I can't wait to meet my little Nephew." she said while showing her bunny smile and we bid goodbye.

I put down my phone. And took a deep sighed and went to bed. I'm lying down, I just stared at the ceiling. I don't know what will happen in the next few days. I shut my eyes and go to sleep.

'Come what may..'

Jungkook's POV

I'm just staring at the window of my hotel room while my hands are inside my pocket.
I just can't stop thinking about what happened the other day. It feels like a dream to me.
After all these years, she still has this effect on me. Although we just met once but feels like I have known her for a long time.

A few years ago, I still go to the place where we met hoping that I will get to see her there. I never stop going there until I became really busy and tired at work. I somehow became tired also of waiting for her. I lose hope. So I stopped.
But why is it when I decided to stop she showed up? Why now?
Well, I think she's happy now. She has her own family now.
I looked down and took a deep breath.

And someone knocked on the door.
It's Mr. Han. He's holding an envelope.

"This is the information about the kid at the daycare, Mr. Jeon," he said and hand it over to me.
I took and open it.

Child's name: Kim Jae Wook
Gender: Boy
Age: 4 years old
Bday: July 2, 2015

Parent's information
Mother's name: Kim Sana

'Ohh so her complete name is Kim Sana.'

But...

Father's name: ________

"Why there's no name on his father's information?" I asked Mr. Han in confusion.

"I got this info from the daycare, they said that Ms. Kim is a single mother," he answered me.

I raised my head and my eyebrows furrowed.

"How come she's a single mom?" I asked.

'Then who is that guy I saw with them?'

"I don't know, Mr. Jeon but according to the investigator, Ms. Kim was already pregnant with her child when she came here. She moved here since around November or December 2014," he added.

"What?"
Wait, I think there's something wrong here.

"And she's related to the Kim Gold Trading Corporation. She's the younger sister of Mr. Kim Seok Jin," he added.

'What?!' my eyes widened. That's why that guy looks familiar to me. It was Mr. Kim. I didn't know that he has a younger sister.

'So, they are siblings.'

A smile formed on my lips.
Why am I thinking that they are a couple? I want to slap my face.

"Jungkook-ah, is she the girl that you're looking for a few years ago?" he interrupts me.
Yes, it was Mr. Han, he was the one I asked to look for Sana before. So I guess he still remembers that. He also knows what happened between me and Sana. Mr. Han is not only my assistant, but he's also like a father, an older brother, and a friend to me. Sometimes he just called me by my first name whenever we're not at work or talking about personal things.

"Yes, Mr. Han. She's the Sana we're looking for for a long time." I replied.

"That is why all this time we cannot find her because she's here," he said.

I nodded. Then stared at Jae Wook's photo.

"Wait, Mr. Han. You said that I looked like this kid, right?" I asked him and show him the kid's photo.

"Yeah, he really looks like you. I can still remember your face when you were little," he said to me.
Although Mr. Han is a little bit older but he has a good memory.

He covered his mouth and gasped.

"Jungkook-ah, you said that you two did the thing right?" (Yeah, I told Mr. Han about that too).
I nodded.

He covered his mouth again.
And said...

"Isn't this kid your child, Jungkook-ah?"
