The same stars shine down on our skin
The same moon reminds us the time
Our bare toes dance atop different grass
We glance at different walls
We're locked up in a prison cell
Disease lurking on the streets
When will this be over?
I miss you
I miss you more than you know
A month has passed
Since we've been locked up
Hands reaching out of the prison bars
Our fingers unable to grasp the freedom we once knew
The streets are bare and eerily quiet
Many pairs of eyes are shut to the world around us
Unable to see the light of day once again
I'm afraid we'll become strangers
In a universe plagued with death
Is the world ending?
Is this the end of humankind?
If this is the end of the world
Will you be by my side?
Fingers intertwined as our eyelids flutter for the last time
As we take our last breath
Of polluted air on Earth
Because I'm scared to die alone
Our hearts beat, synchronized
We're so close but so far
I miss how the sun shined on your face
How your dimples lit up your cheeks
You make me feel like music
My heart dances to the rhythm
I'm afraid we'll become strangers

I think I'm going delirious
How I wish I could see the sparkle in your eyes

Those eyes remind me of galaxies
Holding a story in each speck of brown
Making my stomach sour above the clouds
I haven't heard from you in days
