Chapter 8: thank you

Zane's PoV

I heard a knock on the door. I quickly turned off the tv and went to answer it, wrapping my black blanket around me.

When I opened the door I saw Travis.

"Hey zane, can I come in?" He asked

"Sure," I said, confused

I walked back over to the couch and sat down. Travis followed behind me after shutting the door.

" so um, I just wanted to thank you for yesterday," he said sitting down

"It's fine," I said

He smiled to himself.

"Why do you still even like Katelyn? she's nothing but mean to you," I said turning my head to look at him

"I... don't know, I just do... but I think I've gotten over the whole being in love with her thing," he said looking at his feet

Then he looked up to meet my Gaze and pulled me into a hug. My eyes widened.

"I'm really thankful for you zane," he said, I could tell he started to cry but stopped himself.

He pulled away and stood up.

"I should probably go now," he said

"Bye," I waved to him

He walked out the door, closing it again behind him.

I sighed and turned back on my tv. Resuming my show.

Laurance's PoV

I'm getting worried about Garroth. He ran out of the house two hours ago now and is still not back. Maybe he hates me after we kissed. But I kinda liked it, what am I thinking he would never like me, why else would he run away?

What if something happened to him. I have to go find him now.

I ran upstairs to get changed, then out the door. I didn't know where he was but I need to find him, I'm really worried now.

I pulled out my phone and tried texting him, I stopped running and slowly walked so I could type.

L: Garroth

L:Garroth where are you

L: please I'm getting worried

Tears dropped from my eyes, why won't he answer me? He definitely hates me, but I need to know if he's okay.

L:please answer me

L: please just text something to let me know your okay.

L: I'll leave you alone after

I tried calling him instead but he didn't answer that either.

G: I'm fine, I just wanna be alone right now

L: you hate me, don't you?

G: no, why would I hate you

L: you ran away right after we kissed, so you clearly didn't like it

G: did you like it?

I ran. I ran back to the house and locked myself in my room. I can't tell him I liked it, he'll hate me even more.
Tears streamed down my face as I sat there crying.
