'Her Day'

MAHIR'S POV

I was sleeping right now and my baby was in deep sleep hugging me.

I won't mind hugging her tightly and sleep peacefully but I really have something more important to do right now. These days,or I must say since many days I was planning for tomorrow.

I firstly thought that it will be in India but don't know what came in my mind and I cancelled our flight tickets and I called everything that was needed in my plan by our private jet here only in Venice.

I also talked to the CEO of the hotel about the plans and I was all set. I slowly slid away from the Bed and went downstairs towards kitchen.

"Oh Hello Mr.Maheshwari" wished The Chef.

"Hello chef. Shall I start. It should be ready on time" I told chef and he nodded

After forty five minutes I was all set and I went towards the room and opened the room silently.

She was sleeping.

As planned her phone buzzed and her sleep broke.

I couldn't see her properly. It was all black but since I was fully awake I could see her a little.

"Who was that. Gave a ring and cut the call..Mahir..are you listening" she mumbled didn't looking on my side and I suppressed my laughter

"Mahir...Mahir..where are you...are you in the washroom" she asked and checked the washroom but didn't find me.

God!! Don't make her look behind the door!!!

"Mahir...where are you...I..I'm afraid of dark you know right" she told moving upwards towards terrace and I went on the bed.

She came out and was horrified to look someone on her bed.

It's done now Mahir!!!It's the time.

"My wife said me that whenever she's sad or afraid I must make the bed my stage and sing a song for her..so here I'm" I said and looked at her and lit the lighter.

"Mahir" she whispered.

"Happy Birthday Too youuu... Haappyyyy birrthhdayy Too youuu...Happyyy birthhdayy Dear Surbhiii....Happyyy birthhdaayy too youuu" I sang and lit the candles of the cake in my hand.

She was totally surprised. I know she forget her birthday in the excitement of Venice..but how can I forget her first birthday with me.

"It is..my..." she was going to say when I smiled

"Yes..it's your birthday baby. A very happy bday Surbhi" I wished and her smile widened.

She came running and was going to hug me when I stopped her.
She looked at me and frowned.

"Wait sweetheart. This cake in my hand will be spoilt. I've made it by much efforts and love. " I told putting the down and she looked at me with much more surprise.

"You...you baked it...for me" she asked and I nodded and I opened my arms now.
She hugged me immediately.

"Thankyou so sooo much. You have no idea how much this means to meee" She whispered and I looked at her.

"I know a little. Small efforts make you happy. " I said and pecked her lips.

"Now come and cut the cake." I told and she nodded happily.

"Mahir...you baked chocolate cake for me.I love you so very much" She whispered and I smiled

"Your favorite has to be baked. May your life be filled with the color fo these strawberries. Just like this red color which is sign of love. Happiest birthday" I wished and she smiled widely.
