Well, it's complicated because my mom's currently a talking lizard that's kind of a very chaotic, crazy person with only a hint of good in her, and my dad is more involved in my life now. My dad and me are on good terms, though. But as for Carlos's mom, Jay's dad, and Evie's mom, we've met with them a total of once since the barrier was let down, and it went absolutely terrible.
They're still the same people that we left over there four years ago, which is really not surprising, and I don't know what I expected. I just... I guess I just hoped that she would wake up and see what was important in life...
Come here, E... But as not surprised as we were about them, they were just the opposite about Carlos, Evie, Jay, and even me. We were totally different than they remembered, and with the strength of all four of us, we stood up to them.
Carlos was trembling by the time we reached the bridge, and Jay looked like he was going to kill somebody.
I really thought E was going to cry, but we all just threw our arms around each other and left.
You looked pleased, though, M.
Heck, yeah, I was pleased. I was pleased that they could see that they didn't break my family like they had so hoped they would. They didn't break my Jay. They didn't break my Carlos. And they didn't break my Evie.
I love you, M.
I love you, too, E.
