Does Evie spend at least an hour not talking while working on dresses or makeup?

Yes and no. When she's super focused, Evie doesn't talk to anyone else while she's working, but she does talk to herself. Avidly. 

It's usually just muttering, M. You make me out to be a crazy person.

Yeah, but it's an ongoing one-sided conversation. Like, "Ow! Stupid, stupid, stupid, watch where you're poking that needle!" And, "This is absolutely gorgeous, why didn't you think of doing this before? It's art, darling, art!"

When did you hear that last one, M? I don't recall ever saying that---

Just last week when you were working on that dress for me when we were going to go to Audrey's party at the school. 

Oh... I was hoping you hadn't heard that.

Yes, darling, yes. I did hear it, darling, I did hear it.
