"Who's Playing Games?"

The problem with boys like Theo Marco is that, they are often incognisant of their surroundings and they prefer shrugging s-hit off their shoulders.

"I'm straight." 'Yan ang sabi niya sa akin nang marealise niyang hinalikan ko siya sa pisnge.

"Yeah whatever."

I don't have any feelings for him anyways.

I diverted my own attention sa bintana at nagpalinga-linga nalang. Again, it was so silent. Wala na namang may umimik sa aming dalawa. And it made me furious.

Sana 'di ko nalang 'yun ginawa.

But Dani?! Hold yourself together! Were you expecting something from him?!

And now we reached the fourth day of ignoring each other.

That was just a kiss on the cheek! Siguro malaking bagay na 'yon para sa kaniya. Tsk. Boys will be boys.

I rolled my eyes as soon as I got myself out of his car. 'Di na nito ako pinagbubuksan ng pintuan kapag dumadating na kami sa school. And it was frustrating knowing that I got used to his prince charming attitude.

I hate Theo.

Nauna akong naglakad sa kaniyang papasok sa school. Sumunod naman ito sa akin nang masiguro niyang nalock na niya ang kaniyang sasakyan.

I sat on my seat at umupo na rin si Theo sa tabi ko. I just glared at nothing at nakinig nalang ako sa guro buong araw.

At lunch, 'di ako kumain. Pinaghandaan lang naman ako ng TLC but I didn't dare touch it. Theo must had noticed it. Kasi for the past four days na 'di kami nagiimikang dalawa 'di rin ako kumakain ng lunch ko.

Yeah call me childish.

Naupo lang ako sa harap niya at nagsca-scan sa phone ko nang bigla niya itong hablutin at ipatong sa tabi niya. "I've been telling you to eat that. Bingi ka ba?" I rolled my eyes at sinaksak ang AirPods ko at automatic namang nagpe-play ang kanta mula sa phone ko.

Suddenly he turned my phone off and threw it in the the trash can. Nabigla naman ako sa ginawa nito. So I stood up and picked it in there but he was quick to pull it away from me at lumabas ng canteen.

I followed him. "Give that godamn phone Marco!" Sigaw ko sa kaniya.

Hinabol ko siya papunta sa Men's room at kukunin na sana ang phone ko pero nilagay niya ito sa loob ng bulsa niya.

"Marco naman!" I exclaimed.

"I will not give this to you unless you stop acting like a kid Daniel!" He yelled at me again.

"Ikaw kaya 'tong parang bata." Bulyaw ko sa kaniya. "Give it back to me." Ani ko sa kaniya at hahablutin na naman sana ang phone ko pero nakailag ito sa akin.

Para kaming bata na naglalaro.

"I don't like playing stupid games Marco. Ibigay mo na or else isusumbong kita kay Mom mo." He glared at me.

"You're the one playing stupid games with me Daniel." Panimula nito habang nakapulupot ang kamay nito at tumingin sa akin ng masama. "What's with that kiss?!" Sigaw niya.

Nabigla naman ako kasi, he's not over with that godamn kiss?

"That was nothing. Wala 'yun." I rolled my eyes at him. "Now give it back."

"I will not give it back to you unless you tell me the truth."

"Ano bang gusto mo? That was a kiss Theo. Does it mean so much to you? Do you think I was playing games with you? You were the one playing ganes with me as far as I remember!" I yelled at him. Nangingilid na naman ang luha sa mga mata ko.

"You act as if you care about me. Pero when I ask you, you deny it! Now tell me who's playing games Theo?!" Sigaw ko ulit sa kaniya habang umiiyak na ako.

Umiiyak lang akong nakatingin sa kaniya. "You said I shouldn't put my feelings on the line. But I did! Naging assumera ako. But it's because of you! You're confusing me and you act as if you don't know that what you're doing affects me. Your words hurt me Theo! They do!" I yelled at him.

Natauhan naman ito, kaya nakita kong napalunok si Theo. Naiiyak pa rin ako sa harap niya. "You keep telling me na I shouldn't think about it. That you care for me."

"After all — there was no one for me to turn to simula nang dumating ako sa buhay niyo. I assumed you were going to be there for me dahil you kept on protecting me. But you kept telling me na wala lang 'yun yet still you keep on doing it! Don't you think your behavior is confusing me?" Tumingin ako sa kaniya. Nagbago na naman ang mukha nito at parang nagsisisi sa ginawa niya.

Suddenly Theo pulled me closer to him at niyakap ako. "I-I'm sorry Dani." He said while caressing my back. He tightened his hug. Umiiyak parin ako sa kaniya. "I- I was just being careful."

"You kept telling me that I shouldn't think about it. But I did! Now look where it got me." Pinaghahampas ko ang matipuno nitong katawan. I don't care if he'll get hurt — I was hurt! I kept being hurt for too long already and now that I had the chance to tell him everything I might as well pour everything out.

Napahagul-gol na lamang ako. Kumalas siya sa pagkakayakap sa akin at biglang tumama ang tingin naming dalawa, little by little lumapit ng ilang inches ang mukha naming pareho and it was me who kissed him. I know this isn't the right thing to do but its now or never, hindi na ako nakapagtimpi.

I kissed him.

I was still crying but I kissed him.

I just kissed Theo Marco.

And he kissed me back.

Theo kissed me, he moved his lips on top of mine passionately. Trying to savor everything inside. He deepened the kiss by pulling me closer to him, hinawakan niya ako sa leeg ko at mas siniil pa ang paghalik sa akin.

My heart was beating so fast.

My tears dried.

And all I can hear is heavy breathing filling up inside the men's room.

Theo was straight but he kissed me.

Theo was supposed to be my brother but he kissed me.
