"Sweetheart"

"Teka ang gulo-gulo." Napakamot ako ng ulo ko sa sinabi nito sa akin.

"Trust me it's so fucked up." Napailing na sinabi ni Theo sa akin. "My life is a hell of a mess." He added, his voice was serious and it sent shivers down my spine.

Theo and I had known each other for moths now, but still his chilling voice could send a thousand spikes down my spine — and I'm still not used to it.

Napakagat labi ako. I don't understand this family. What's with all these buying people as a company? Bakit ganito? I was bought — Eric was bought and Theo's ex-lover was also bought for him. "Laruan ba kami?" Medyo napataas ang boses ko nang tinanong ko si Theo. "Theo, can you explain? Ang hirap talaga intindihin." Gulo-gulo kong tanong sa kaniya. The things he said are still processing inside me and it frustrates me that I can't seem to understand everything. Im so confused.

Nagbuntong hininga si Theo. "I told you I was the problem." Ani Theo sa akin. "My Mom wanted to provide someone for me and luckily she found that girl. She also bought that girl for me as a company..." Theo paused and took a deep sigh. "Eric was bought for me too — just like Eric, that ex-lover of mine was also bought as a company for me." Malungkot itong nakatingin sa sahig.

'Di ako makapaniwala sa mga narinig ko. Alam ko rin naman na binili si Eric para sa kaniya at ganun din ako, pero pala pati ang babaeng 'yon binili rin para sa kaniya?

"Me and that girl became really close, she was really nice. Pretty — looks like you and acts like you too." He gave me a fainted smile as he was trying to reminisce about that girl. "We fell in love. We we're hopelessly in love."

"But that thing happened. Ugh." He vented out of frustration. "Sorry I couldn't really go into details with what happened. It still haunts me." He took a deep breath and shook his head then he looked at me straight in the eye. "Do you still love me then?" Tanong na lamang nito sa akin. He looks so troubled.

"Does that Stephanie know about this?"

Umiling lamang ito sa akin. "Only you... know about this." Mahina nitong sinabi sa akin.

Ipinikit ko ang mga mata ko at napabuntong hininga na lamang. "You aren't the problem Theo and if there is, it's your family." Ani ko sa kaniya. "Pinipilit lang nila ang gusto nila sa'yo. Just like what they're doing to me."

"We're both on the same page Theo." Nakangiti kong sinabi rito. "Don't worry, 'di nag-iba ang tingin ko sa'yo." Hinawakan ko ito sa kaniyang mga pisnge. "I will always be here for you."

Para atang 'di ito makapaniwala sa sinabi ko sa kaniya kaya bigla niya akong niyakap. "I'm so glad I h-have you."

And then he started crying again.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Iyakin." Natatawa kong sinabi sa kaniya at tinahan naman ito.

Ever since Theo opened up about that certain incident in his life and how it affected him. It felt like I had delved into his life even more. It's actually pretty healthy na Theo is starting to be more open about his life. Alam ko kasing marami pa akong kailangang malaman sa kaniya. I know it will take more time for me and Theo to know each other well.
