"Do you hear that? Listen..." Mike Wheeler's voice echoed from the two story house on Maple Street. His voice was ominous as he looked around, one by one at his four friends, who were all sat at a table that was clad with the D&D game, "...Somethings hungry... somethings hungry for blood..."

His friends stared wide eyed at him in anticipation, awaiting his next words as he chose them carefully. It was a bit strange to watch the little gears in his head turn but it somehow made the game more fun when they didn't know what to except from their friend.

"...A shadow grows on the wall behind you... swallowing you in the darkness... it's almost here..." Slowly, the kids all leaned forward, interested with where this had been going. It was going a different way than usual and it made it all the more creepy.

"What is it?" Will Byers questioned his friend, his voice small.

"What if it's the demogorgan?" asked Dustin Henderson, looking to his friends, frantically, "We're in deep shit if it's the demogorgan."

"It's not the demogorgan." Lucas Sinclair sighed, squinting his eyes at Dustin, briefly.

"I dunno, Lucas. Mike seems to have a bunch of tricks up his sleeves." Y/n Byers remarked, exhaling from her lips, resting her chin in her hand that was planted on the wood of the table. She was the only girl in the pack which tended to make her an easy target for bullies but she didn't care.

Mike watched them all, intently, waiting for them all to settle down before putting six miniatures onto the table, "An army or Troglodytes charge into the chamber! Their tails drum the floor. Boom! Boom! Boom!"

"Troglodytes?" Dustin asked, cocking an eyebrow at the miniatures.

"Told ya!" Lucas bragged, shooting Dustin and Y/n a look as they both rolled their eyes in unison.

Suddenly, Mike's eyes widened like saucers before saying, "Wait... do you hear that?" The kids all exchanged looks of confusion before turning their attention back to Mike, "Boom!... Boom!... Boom!" Mike exclaimed, each word getting louder and louder, "That-That sound... it didn't come from the Troglodytes. No. It came from something else..."

A silence blanketed the already thick tension in the air before all of a sudden; Mike slammed a big two headed miniature onto the board of game, "The demogorgan!"

Groans of annoyance and distress filled the room as Y/n snapped her head to Lucas and began mimicking him, "Told ya!" She shot at him in a mocking tone.

Lucas cocked his head to look to the young Byers girl and shot out the words, "Bite me!"

Dustin chose to ignore the previous encounter with Lucas and Y/n, throwing his hands up, "We're in deep shit!" The curly haired boy exclaimed with a small slur to his voice.
