Korra POV.

It had been quite a considerable span of time since I had left my home, embarking on a journey filled with hopes of recovery and the prospect of reuniting with my loved ones. My mind was consumed by the longing to see everyone again, especially Y/n, who was undoubtedly eager to embrace me once more.

I had diligently undergone my treatments, pouring my efforts into regaining my strength and mobility. However, each passing day felt like an unyielding struggle, as if time had stood still. Frustration loomed ever larger, and my fervent desire was to regain the ability to walk independently. In my current state, I found myself dependent on others for even the most basic tasks. The weight of helplessness pressed upon me.

Despite not being able to see Y/n in person, his heartfelt letters arrived, bearing both solace and warmth. His words were a beacon of unwavering support, and it was clear that he missed me greatly, his concern evident in every line. Among the contents of his letters, he revealed his intention to visit me in the near future, and the prospect of his arrival filled me with eager anticipation. His genuine care and kindness were qualities that I cherished deeply.

As I was immersed in reading his letters, a gentle knocking on the door interrupted my solitude. I welcomed the visitor, and to my delight, it was my mother, standing there with a smile that radiated love and reassurance.

Senna entered my room, her eyes filled with curiosity as she noticed the objects I had brought out.

Senna: "Who are those for, sweetie?"

Korra: (I smiled softly, realizing I hadn't shared this part of my life with her). "Mom, it's just someone I've missed so much. I long for his presence and the comfort we find in each other. It's as if he completes a part of me that's missing."

Senna: (Her gaze softened with understanding) "You really care about him, don't you?"

Korra: (I nodded) a sense of longing in my voice. "Yes, Mom. He means a lot to me, and I wish he could be here with us. His presence brings me peace."

Senna: "Well, he must be a good man if he has such an impact on you. Maybe we could prepare dinner for him and have him join us on most nights."

Korra: (Gratitude swelled in me as I considered the idea). "I would love that, Mom. He'd appreciate it, I'm sure."

Senna: (She smiled warmly)offering reassurance. "Miracles can happen when we least expect them, Korra. Don't lose hope."

With her comforting words, my mother left my room. I adjusted the objects on my desk, feeling the weight of my feelings for him. As I settled into bed, I couldn't help but hope that someday, he'd be here with me, filling the void I felt in my heart.

Next scene.

The train journey was well underway, carrying Guanshi and Kuvira, among others, into the heart of the Earth Kingdom. Guanshi couldn't help but notice the heaviness in Bolin's expression. It was clear that the young earthbender's mind was still occupied with thoughts of Opal.

Guanshi (gently): "I understand that you're thinking about Opal, and it's never easy to be separated from the ones you care about deeply. The choices we make in such situations can be the most difficult. Sometimes, doing what's right for the Earth Kingdom requires us to make tough decisions, even if it means leaving behind those we love."

Bolin (sighing): "You know, I'm torn, Guanshi. I see the bigger picture and how important our mission is for the Earth Kingdom, but at the same time, I can't help but think about the people we care for. It's a tough balance."

Guanshi (nodding): "It's never easy, Bolin. We must find the strength to carry out our mission while also keeping the well-being of our loved ones in our hearts. The path we've chosen is a challenging one, but it's one that aims to create a better future for everyone."
