Andrew had gotten thrown into a few more matches. He still hated the game like all the other survivors, but he was learning how to get around the easiest. Though, the one thing that made him upset was that when someone did win a match and was told that they escaped, the path would just lead right back to the manor, every single time.

He carried his shovel and his lantern into all of his matches. He guessed that those were his special tools, which some people on the survivor team had tools exclusive to them and them only.

But, no matter what he did in all the matches he was in, he seemed like he was the team's bad luck charm. All the matches he had done were loses. He just kept losing over and over and over again. He had been in at least ten more matches since his first one, and they all were loses. He even tried saving people, but he'd get hit while untying them and would also be placed into a chair.

Most of the other survivors would actually get very annoyed if he screwed up simple tasks, such as failing a calibration, throwing a pallet down too early, running right into an easy-to-avoid attack, etcetera.

"Andrew!" Victor chirped, walking up to Andrew. "How're you feeling?"

Andrew shrugged. "Moderate, I guess. I don't know."

"Do you need some tips or anything?" The blonde asked. "I've watched some of your matches, and most of the things you think you're screwing up are actually really easy to fix."

Andrew paused then nodded. Victor was the first person to actually offer to help him out. There wasn't really much of a tutorial for this game, so Victor would have to do.

Victor grinned, the stitches on his mouth seeming like they showed more.

"Alright. So, uh, with the basic tasks like doing an interaction such as ciphers, healing, or rescuing, don't get hit when you're in the middle of the action. You'll get terror shocked, which means you'll be downed in one hit instead of two.

"If you're in hot pursuit, you can use pallets to either stun the hunter or to buy you time to run away. Stunning the hunters are pretty hard, and they usually see it coming, so maybe don't be a tryhard and attempt to get them every time, because there's a good chance it's not gonna work. Ooh; if you're doing a ring-around-the-rosy situation, the hunter's usually going to think you're gonna through down the pallet each time, so don't try to throw it down when you're running through it unless you have to.

"Calibrations happen when healing, doing a cipher, or with the hunter Wu Chang's bell attack thing. Stay calm when they happen. Though, if you do mess up, the cipher you're doing will alert the hunter, the person you're healing will get injured more, or you might go under the affect of Wu Chang's bell. Kinda hard, but you'll get used to it."

The blond took a moment to catch his breath. He had said all that way too fast, only taking tiny breaths between each paragraph. He looked up at Andrew, grinning. "You good?" Andrew asked. Victor nodded.

Andrew wanted to say thank you, but couldn't really find the words. Why couldn't he? It was a simple sentence. It shouldn't be because Victor was there with him.

Right?

Victor gasped. "Oh, right, your shovel!" he exclaimed. "I think you can use your shovel in matches as your own unique tool thingy. I don't really know how it would work, but it's bound to be really cool!"

He could use his shovel as a tool? Andrew didn't really know that. He just liked carrying it around just in case. Kind of like his own moral support object thing. But, knowing that he could use it within a match would make it better. But... wait, hadn't he used it that one time against the clown? Must've been a move on instinct. He didn't really remember the whole thing.

Andrew gave a nod, kind of like he was saying thank you.

"C'mon, it's getting late. We go back to our rooms." Victor began walking off, which Andrew took as a sign to follow.

They walked down the hallway for a bit. A small group of survivors consisting of Kurt, Kevin, and Jose crossed paths with the. Neither of the groups made any move to talk to the other. They all just kept peacefully walking along. Andrew glanced at Victor, noticing that he was actually a lot quieter when the other people were around.

When the three were gone, Andrew asked, "You alright?" again to Victor.

"Yeah, I'm good," Victor said. They soon got to Victor's room, and he waved to Andrew before closing the door, leaving Andrew alone in the hallway. Was the blonde actually kind of antisocial but liked to hide it most of the time? Maybe that's why he had his dog Wick deliver his letters to people.

To be honest, Andrew kind of liked the night. The stars were always beautiful. At least, he thought they were beautiful, possibly because he had spent most of his life looking up to them. So, instead of heading to his room like Victor and the others had, he walked onto one of the balconies and rested his arms on the railing while looking up at the sky, feeling himself smile as the moonlight shined down on him.
