After I picked out a long sleeved shirt to cover up the bandage, I picked out some blue skinny jeans to go along with it. I set the clothes down on my desk and headed towards the bathroom across the hall. I went over to the shower, turned the knob, and waited for it to warm up.

I eventually took my clothes off as I stepped into the shower, the water already scorching hot. I didn't mind though, it helped me relax as the water slowly descended down my back. I looked down at my forearm, trying to avoid the water from seeping through the bandage.

I took a 25 minute shower, knowing that I had some time to spare. When I got out, I dried myself with a towel, wrapping it around my body, and headed back to my room to grab my clothes.

Once I got my clothes, I walked across the hall again, and went back into the bathroom. As I put my clothes on, I slowly looked up to see my reflection in the mirror. I frowned, noticing the bags underneath my eyes from not getting any sleep the night before. I also caught the sight of exhaustion seeping through my facial features as I leaned over the sink to brush my teeth.

I didn't bother putting makeup on, other than a little bit of mascara to make myself look somewhat decent. I decided to only brush my wet, blonde hair, and leave it down so it can air dry.

Seeing that it is now 6:30am, and school started at 7:30am, I walked over to Jace's room, lightly knocking on the door. He opened it and I let him know to be down soon, so we can leave a little earlier to drop Olivia off at her new elementary school. He nodded, then turned back around to go through his closet.

I made my way downstairs to get Olivias lunch ready for the day. When I walked into the kitchen, I could hear my mother's snores coming from her bedroom, only yards away. I slightly rolled my eyes and sighed as I get the materials for Olivias lunch.

I heard Jace and Olivia coming down the stairs minutes later, knowing he already woke her up and helped her change clothes and brushed her hair. I smiled as I looked at the scene unfold in front of me, watching Jace tickle Olivia as she laughed with tears forming in her eyes.

"J-Jace stop!" She tried to say as her giggles filled the room. Liv was trying to get away from his embrace as he kept tickling her sides.

"Fine," he smirked, slowly letting her down.

"Hey Liv, I got your lunch ready so we can head out in a few minutes. Are y'all ready to go?" I asked them, giving Liv her lunch box as I put her backpack around her shoulders.

"Yeah, we're ready. Just give me a second to go grab my phone," Jace replied, already sprinting back up the stairs.

"Are you ready for your first day of kindergarten?" I asked Liv, crouching down to reach her height.

"Yes! I'm so excited to see my friends and I can't wait to play on the swings at recess!" She giggled, jumping up and down as a huge smile spread across her face.

I laughed as she jumped into my arms. I heard some noise and looked over to see Jace running down the stairs, tripping in the process.

"Dammit, these stairs are always making me fall on my ass," he muttered under his breath as he got up, trying to act like nothing happened.

I barked out a a laugh as he sent a glare my way. I flipped him off in return, making sure Liv didn't see the finger I gave him quite often.

I carried Olivia as I grabbed my keys, phone, and backpack. Once Jace got his backpack from the dinning room, we all walked towards the front door. I opened it and we stepped outside to see my white Honda Civic parked in the driveway.

I put Liv down and opened the the car door, making sure she was secure in her car seat. Once I buckled her up, I walked around the car and sat down in front of the wheel. I looked over to see Jace in the passenger seat, already typing away on his phone.
