"Excuse me?"

Chaeryeong turns around. There was Kang Taehyun from the other section, standing there awaiting her answer. A faint shade of pink brush her cheeks but she manages to hide. "Uh, yes?"

"This is the book club, right?"

"Yes."

"Are you the president?"

She shakes her head, "no. Just the vice-president."

He took a moment to swallow that. "But I can come to you too, right?"

"You fool."

"Haha. Yes."

She abruptly stood up, "my name is Lee Chaeryeong."

"I know," he smiles. "My name is Kang Taehyun."

"I know."

"Are you here to sign up for our club? If so, please write your name here." she quickly hands him a book and a pen.

"If I write my name down here, does that mean I'm officially part of the book club?"

"Uh... not exactly. You'd have to inform your teacher too so it'd be listed on your academic report. But that's all there is."

"Sounds simple."

After handing back the book and the pen, Taehyun decides to look around. The book club was almost a smaller sub-par of the library but maintained by the students. There were mementos, old cds, books on the wall. It looked like a vintage book shop but small.

"Where is everyone?" he asks seeing she seems to be the only one in the room.

"Most of the members have classes at this hour. Its mostly just me and the president all day."

"Who's the president?"

"Mina-sunbaenim."

"Ah. You're from section A, right?"

"Yes."

"Well,  I'm B. You're quite popular with your grades, Chaeryeong-ssi."

"Just call me Chaeryeong. And you're not an exception either, Taehyun-ssi."

He smirks at her, slightly amused considering this is their first meet. "You can call me Taehyun. Thank you."

"Who is it, Chaeryeong-ah?"

Chaeryeong turns around once Kang Mina bursts in through the door. "A new member. His name is Kang Taehyun."

Its only natural for Mina to recognize Taehyun just from his name. "Oh. Welcome to the book club, Taehyun." she reaches out her hand.

Taehyun kindly took it. "Thank you. I'm looking forward being a part of this club," he said, eyes fixed on the girl next to her.

"Hwang Yeji~ ", Yeonjun sings as he dance his way to her causing quite a spectacle in the process.

Yeji couldn't believe it. "You've really lost your mind."

"As a matter of fact, no, I haven't."

"Stop smiling. You are giving me a headache."

"Bad day, I guess." He skips along besides her, "I'm open."

"Hm, yeah. I figured it out myself."

"You're just charming. But really, I'm available."

She rolls her eyes but was constantly smiling. "I'll tell you over lunch."

"So I get to have lunch with you in the process? Great!" he chirps.

Therefore, Yeonjun sat down across Yeji with no one to disturb them over their lunch. Yeonjun adjusts himself before picking on his food.

"So... tell me what's bothering you, Miss Hwang?"

Yeji ignores the flirtious tone in his voice, "I did something horrible."

"Like?"

"It's all in the past but I think it might have affected more people than I thought it would."

"Is it that serious?"

She sighs. "Yes. Very serious. I hurted so many people."

Yeonjun kept silent and studies her face, she was definitely sad. Her eyes looks droopy like she was almost going to cry. What could've happened for her to look so guilty?

"I won't ask further but... what are you going to do?"

"About the people I hurt? I dunno."

He keeps quiet for a moment. "Shouldn't you come out about your mistake?"

Yeji scoffs, "if only it was that easy. Enough. Let's finish our lunch. I have practice."

Clearly obvious she was trying to turn around directions and avoid the topic. So Yeonjun decided to let her keep her thoughts.

"Fine."

"But... what were you doing with Soobin and Lia the other night?"

"Huh? Oh. Game night?" he smiles, "I just wanted new faces to hang out with. The guys were throwing a dinner party and that would involve some illegal drunk teenagers. Their routine were getting suffocating so I went out to have some new fun."

"By hanging out with them?"

"Yes. It was nice," he smiles again.

Yeji watch him smile as he picks his food. He sure has a habit of picking his food.

"Sure. Whatever you say."

A black car stops in front of the Head Director's office at Ace. A bunch of men in black steps out and bows all in order, waiting for someone very important to step out it seems. A neat man in neat black suit steps out from another car and opens the door to the main vehicle.

A young, tall, fair, charming boy in his teens steps out. He wore a casual suit but looked very young indeed. He inspects his surrounding and the guards awaiting him.

"There was no need to cause a scene," he mumbles.

"We're sorry, Young Master. Please follow me inside, Madam is waiting."

He sighs, "fine."

He follows the neat man inside the building before they stopped inside a fancy looking office.

"Ah. Kai, you're here." An old woman with grey hair and dazzling jewellery welcomes him with a warm smile.

"Grandmother, I missed you." The boy smiles while he kisses the top of the woman's head.

"I missed you too. Sit."

"Grandmother, its a really nice school."

"Oh, really? Although its rumors precede its reputation, it's not that bad of a private academy. How do you think?"

"Ah, Grandma~ ", he whines looking all pouty, "I'm not confident in my Korean yet."

"We can fix that! I can ask some students to assist you on that. You can learn Korean faster if you grow used to it daily."

He sighs in defeat. "Fine. When do I start?"

"How about next week?"
