Chapter 12

Kyra

Fay and I walked into the gym for dance practice on friday, Miss Stewart was standing next to a bluetooth soundbox.

"Listen up everyone" she said when everyone was around "today I'll be splitting you into groups based on your dancing skills, you'll be dancing in two's, first up, " she glanced at her clipboard "Carla and Nicole" the two girls walked to the center of the gym while the rest of us piled on the bleachers, both girls started to dance as soon as the song started to play.

Watching them bored dance bored me and I started to doze off despite the loud music

"Vivian and Kyra" Miss Stewart called, my eyes flicked open, I was paired with Vivian.

"You're paired with Vivian" Fay whisper yelled

"Tell me something I don't know" I mumbled standing up to join Vivian. Miss Stewart started the music and just as I expected Vivian made the first move, I studied her dancing and she was really good

"Anytime now Kyra" Miss Stewart said, I took a deep breath and joined Vivian, who stopped for a moment catch her breath and to watch me dance, she continued after a few seconds. The song had a dance routine and that was exactly what I did, I guess Vivian had the same idea cos she did the same, I ran my fingers through my hair to brush back the blonde strands of hair that were falling into my eyes.

At the end of the song, the routine required a split and I did just that and so did Vivian

"You both were excellent" Miss Stewart said scribbling on her clipboard

"That was amazing" Vivian said "you're good"

"You're not bad yourself"

"Fay and Winter" Miss Stewart called as Vivian and I made our way back to our seats on the bleachers.

"Good luck" I said to Fay as I passed by her. Fay was really good her moves were precise and accurate not missing a single beat. "That was amazing" I said when Fay joined me on the bleachers

"And so were you, you out danced the queen" Fay said

"The steps were exactly the same"

"But you were better" Fay said, I rolled my eyes. Finally all the pairs finished dancing and Miss Stewart ended practice for the day. Fay and I changed in the locker rooms and luckily we weren't ambushed by her psychotic sister. Fay needed something from her locker so I followed her all the way to the second floor.

"What's going on" I asked as I entered the house with Allen, people I had never seen before were trooping in and out of the living room with different sound equipments

"The drinks have arrived" Allen announced entering the kitchen, I heard a bunch of unfamiliar voices as I tagged behind him. Mason's older siblings and a ton of people were all sitting in the kitchen.

"Hey, dollface" Freddie - or Zach - said wrapping me in a side hug as I sat next to him, Brody ruffled my hair as he took a bottle of beer from Allen

"The speakers are already set up" Randy announced coming into the kitchen with Roseanne and Deck, Roseanne took the seat on my other side

"Hey" Roseanne said "you're coming to the party right?"

"No freaking way" Allen said

"She's not even allowed to leave her room" Brody said

"Wouldn't dream of it" I muttered

"Hey guys" Zach - or Freddie - said entering with Jake

"What the hell is he doing here" Roseanne asked when she saw Jake
