My Only One ...

CHAPTER 13.

"No, my head must be playing tricks on me. I can't fall in love with Tristan, he's an a*shole and I hate him." I said under my breath running to a place I didn't know.
"Alex!!!" it was Ivy screaming my name but I ignored her. She's the reason I'm in this shit anyway "Alex wait!!!"

A hot bath is all I need now and right now I'm alone at home while the others are in school, my mum forever in work and my dad only God knows where.
"Son of a b*tch" I muttered taking off Tristan's shirt and dumping it on the floor.
I dipped myself in my bathtub I was hurt. Am getting insane this is Tristan for goodness sake

*DING DONG *
"shit" I cursed as I heard the bell. It's definitely the girls I guess. I sluggishly drained the water, after drying up and I put on my PJs headed for the door.

"Alex, you scared me to death" Ivy pulled me in a hug. I guess it was all I needed, a hug from someone who really cares.
" are you okay? " Taylor asked caressing my hair.
"yeah" I locked the door "I'm going to my room " silence engulfed the air.

If you want to know the one thing that helps me think straight it's taking a walk. I threw on a black ripped jeans, black crop top, a brown leather jacket and flats. I let my hair fall on my shoulders like I usually do most of the time but this time I wore a beanie.

It took me about twenty minutes to successfully sneak out. It was kinda hot outside but I didn't mind even though I still don't know where I'm going.

"Alex !!!" I heard a familiar voice. It was Sarah's. "wait "
"um-em, hey" I stammered not knowing what to say to her
" am sorry about my sister "
" oh it's nothing " I faked a smile
" but, em uh, do you, em have feelings for." Sarah stammered
" no" I cut her short "if you're wondering why I broke down I was getting cramps" I lied and it sounded stupid to my own hearing. Truth be told I didn't know even know why I broke down. Like its his life, I shouldn't be affected. Hoping she'll buy it, I sighed.
"okay, if you say so, what you doing around here? "
" umm, coffee shop" I said pointing at a nearby coffee shop "how about you?"
" I live there, she pointed at a nearby bungalow.
"oh" it was a nice house, not too big, not too small just okay.
" yeah see you around, gotta go "

"Sarah isn't as bad as Olivia, they are clearly the opposites of each other " I thought.

"Black coffee please" I muttered as I took off my air pods.
"okay miss, I see you are new here" the young man said turning on the coffee machine. He should be in his early thirties.
" yeah, I'm not really a fan of coffee " I smiled
" oh, I'm James, I hope I see you around, trust me you'd love it " he said handing over my freshly made coffee.
" I hope so " I smiled at him "I'm Alex "

Few minutes later I was seated by the window sipping my coffee whilst enjoying the view of nature with my air pods plugged in my ear.
"hey" a masculine voice interrupted my thoughts making me look up.
"em, hey" I faked a smile
" would you mind if I joined you"
"sure"
"thanks " he sat on the vacant seat opposite me
" no prob" I replied sipping my coffee
" I haven't see you here before " does everyone have to say that .
" just decided to take a walk"
"oh, you live around here? "
" yes" I replied trying hard not to check him out.
" I hope to see you around, I'm Cole" he said smiling from ear to ear, he was gorgeous.
"Alex" my phone buzzed beside me it was Taylor " I really gotta go now, see you some other time"
" I'll drop you home "
"what!!! "
" it's pretty late Alex and it's about to rain"
"okay" I muttered

The drive home was bearable, we talked about ourselves. It's pretty funny cause I don't like talking about myself but with Cole it was an exception. I found out Cole loves black just as I do, his favorite fruit is grape, he loves chicken and salad, he has a best friend Luke, I think and he's also a senior and would go to college in NYC which turns out great because on my prom night I plan to travel to NYC for college...

"You made my day" Cole pulled me in a teddy bear bug.
" thank you for showing up at the coffee shop " I smiled pulling away from the hug " see you around "
" can I get your number? " he asked a bit shyly which made him look even more gorgeous.
" sure" I chuckled
