I have never written one so this is actually my first try...

If there's one thing
We can count on in life,
It's change.
Everything is changing around us
Even you and I are changing,
Even though we don't always notice it .

But change isn't always comfortable or easy
There are times to embrace it,
Time to deal with it .

Everyone was yelling in excitement, some girls swinging their hips, some clapping their hands following the beat, the drunks weren't left out, they were drinking their hearts out whilst a familiar voice sang from the stage. If it was Tristan I wouldn't be surprised 'cause the whole world knows he's an artist, it won't be a big deal. But this, the voice sounded like Cole's, I considered him one of my best friends and he never told me he was a singer so I kind of doubt he is actually the one singing and besides the voice sounded too good to be his.

Ain't it funny how life changes,
you can't stop it,
you just have to embrace it,
We all make plans but you never know what's gonna happen...

I pushed my way through the crowd with Ivy behind me, she insisted we had a closer look of the guy singing. At the time we got to the front he was already backing the crowd. This guy just didn't have Cole's voice, but he looked like Cole from behind.

"It's Cole" Ivy squealed in excitement "I ain't believing till I see his face" I said still doubting and just then he turned around.

It was Cole.
I froze

Change is inevitable
The secret of change is to focus
Not fighting the old but fighting the new.

The crowd cheered Cole as he turned around to leave the stage, he was done with his song, but something else happened. While he was walking off the stage, he turned around and winked at me making everyone turn around. They probably wanted to know who he winked at and I couldn't help but feel embarrassed 'cause I'm someone who hates crowd attention. Thanks Cole.

"C'mon let's head home" Ivy said pulling me by my arm "did you have any idea that Cole is an artist"

"no" I sigh "I thought we were friends, close friends but he hid such a big thing from me"

"maybe he had a reason"

"do you have any idea where the others are?" I asked trying to change the topic and I wonder why.

"nope, we don't need to find the others let's just go home, I'm tired "

"so you're sleeping over? "

"of course I am" she smiled at me

"how about Tyler?" I asked trying to catch up with her pace.

"He'll meet is outside, let me text him."

In 5 minutes Tyler joined us outside
"hey ladies"

"dude am sleepy "

"have you called an Uber?" I asked nobody in particular

"why won't I?, I'm not dumb okay" Ivy rolled her eyes making me chuckle.

A couple minutes later I was in my room, I've just had my bath and right now searching for a comfy pyjamas when my ring tone went off. It was Donny calling, I couldn't help but laugh when I remembered I left him with Sarah.
"heyo" I giggled as I picked the call.

"Alex you are evil, where the hell are you? you left me with Sarah"

"calm down, I'm home" I burst into laughter when I tried to picture the look on his face right now.

"damn, and I guess Ivy followed suit"

"yeah, and Tyler" I laughed harder

"so now it's left for me to come home with the girls, y'all would pay for this, Taylor is nowhere to be found probably making out with Kyle like their life depends on it, Helen only God knows where she is and Winnie doesn't look like she's going home anytime soon,dammit"

"whatever, just quit complaining and take care of the girls" I hung up on him trying hard to stop laughing.

"who was that?" Ivy asked

"Donny "

"oh that dude" she laughed "poor thing"

I was about to drop my phone when it buzzed it was one new message from Cole. Perfect timing.
I clicked on the notification and it read "I'm outside come downstairs"

"What!" I yelled making Ivy look at me puzzled, I honestly forgot I said that out "em sorry "

"what's up with the text?"she asked

It's Cole, he says I should come downstairs, he's outside "

"and why are you still here, c'mon get your ass downstairs your Romeo is waiting" she winked at me.

"wait a minute did y'all plan this?" I asked confused.

"What do you mean? " she smirked

"you know what I'm talking about" I rolled my eyes

"alright yes, but he's in a better place to explain things, would you dress up now?" she rolled her eyes.

"fine, but one more question"

"I already know what you wanna ask and the answer is yes, we all want you to make things out with Cole" she smiled wryly at me.

"Tyler would kill y'all"

"does he need to know all our plans? "

"gosh y'all are crazy, what do I do now? "

"go and meet him" she smirked

"Cole has feelings for Sarah for goodness sake" does he? well I don't know what I was thinking. it just hopped out of my mouth.

"chill, Cole just wants to surprise you, you're over thinking this"

"whatever "
I walked to my closet, confused on what to wear, I simply let my hair fall on my shoulders threw on black denim trousers, green tank top and black boots. it's kinda cold outside so I grabbed a grey woollen coat.

"I'd distract Tyler, you hurry out through the back" Ivy said .

Y'all know what would happen if Tyler finds out I'm hanging out at this time of the night with a BOY, he would kill Cole and then kill me. So to avoid unnecessary drama, I just had to sneak out. It's the best option and thanks to Ivy.

A red Ferrari was packed outside which I guessed was Cole's car.
I hurried to the car and hopped in
"hey" he smirked at me.
