“It’s a female friend, Mitsuri-chan. You don’t have to worry about it.”

“Is that where you stayed? I checked your room last night and you weren’t there.”

Shinobu didn’t answer Mitsuri’s inquiries, knowing that she will run out of excuses the more she asked about her evening and soon, Mitsuri will know the real story.

“How about you, Mitsuri-chan I bet your evening is full of fun, hm?”

“It was super fun!” Mitsuri beamed, “Obanai cooked for me, bought sweets, then we watched my favorite movie.”

“By the sounds you two are making, I’m pretty sure you really had a great time.” Shinobu gave Mitsuri a teasing smile.

Mitsuri became tomato red, “Wh-What are you talking about, Shinobu-chan?”

Shinobu smiled, entertained at how the pinkette reacted at her comment, “That you guys had fun. Why, is there something else you guys did?”

Mitsuri clearly took Shinobu’s bait which resulted in her being a blushing mess and can’t even talk straight.

“Oh Mitsuri, calm down. I have only heard bits of it but I can really tell you guy had so much fun.” Shinobu teased.

“I—uh-What?!”

“You know what I mean, Mitsuri-chan,” Shinobu pinched Mitsuri’s cheeks.

“B-but it’s not like that!”

“Yeah, sure, as if you’re tomato red face doesn’t give away the answer.”

“Wh-wha--?”

Their teasing was interrupted when their doorbell rang. “I’ll get it,” Shinobu volunteered. She was surprised to see Tomioka on the other side of the door.

“Tomioka-san?” Shinobu gave him a confused face, “what brings you here?”

“I was calling you to tell you you left your wallet at my apartment but you never answered.”

Shinobu fished her phone in her pocket.

Tomika Giyuu
6 missed calls.

“Oh. I’m so sorry!”

Shinobu quickly got her wallet. If her best friend overhears this, she will find out she slept at Tomioka’s, and she will never hear the end of it. “Thank you so much, Tomioka-san.” Luckily, Tomioka went back to his apartment just after he gave Shinobu her wallet.

When Shinobu turned around, she instantly paled. Hands on her hips, smirking, eyes twinkling with mischief, was Mitsuri as she unfolds the mysteries that happened to Shinobu the night before.

“So, a female friend, huh?”

It was Shinobu’s turn to blush. “It’s not what you think it is, Mitsuri-chan.”

Still smirking, Mitsuri replied, “Uh-huh?”

“You know what,” Shinobu was beginning to be defensive, “this is all your fault, you and Iguro-san. This all started because you guys are having so much fun last night.”

“Yeah, no.” Mitsuri pulled Shinobu onto the couch, “Obviously, you had fun last night too so you’re gonna tell me what happened to you guys last night!”

“No way.”

Mitsuri gave Shinobu a pleading look. Knowing her best friend, she will torment her until she got what she wants.
