✨(Under construction) Being that I wrote this book 2 years ago some of the beginning chapters are not up to the standards I want them to be. I am still updating new chapters but the old chapters are going to be revised so if it seems uninteresting n...
11 years ago today word got around about your death when I was at my summer camp. We were going to do a talent show with different songs around that time (I.E: T-Pain- Can't Believe It... that's the only one I can remember right now.) We were all sitting around my dance teacher talking about our different performances when news got out.
All I remember was my dance teacher breaking down crying and me sitting there confused. They had announced you died and I remember asking, "Who's Michael Jackson?"—
That day changed my life forever.
I went home that day with the mission of finding out who you were. When I got home I went straight to YouTube and typed in your name and clicked on Smooth Criminal.
"No not him... this man didn't die." Is all I could say. It's because I knew who you were because my grandma and mom always had your music playing and let me look at your videos. I simply just didn't know your name...
After that day we changed our whole talent show to a tribute solely for you and your greatness. I was in a couple numbers—ABC, With A Child's Heart, Heal The World, Rockin Robin (my favorite one to dance to 😂) and there were more but I forget. It was certainly a day, time, and month I could never forget.
Now here I am 11 years later. It still doesn't even seem real. It doesn't feel real because you should still be here. Living your life, enjoying your fans, and relaxing from an amazing career you've had. Yes some ups and downs but that's what comes with life. And no matter what you always fought through. Even the hardest times until that last day.
But you leave behind your music—your legacy. Your messages still reign through today, in happy times, tough times, sad times, and fun times. Anytime I am feeling a certain way I listen to your music and it always gets me through. Sometimes I just listen just because and it's like I'm listening for the first time. Majority of the songs still give me chills today and I have to rewind because your message, deliverance, and overall vocals—out of this universe.
So I thank you. Thank you for being bold and breaking racial barriers. Thank you for singing and dancing until you couldn't anymore. Thank you for bringing such light to those who needed it and still need it today. Thank you for for your humanitarianism and love. Thank you for everything. Thank you Michael Jackson 💜.
My kids will certainly know who you are and they will be listening to your music. I'm going to be 80 blasting all of your albums—especially Invincible 😊.
Thank you.
Forever and always,
Moonwalker322✨💜
