The door creaked as I opened it, leaving the bedroom of the toddlers, and going to mine.

I rushed out of the door and the hallway to the source of the yell. It led me to the dining room.

"RAY!!! RAY!!!" I heard Emma's desperate screams from inside.

I opened the double doors leading to the dining room only to be greeted by smoke and-

I looked at the cause of Emma's desperate, painful screams and the grey unhealthy smoke filling up the room.
