Side Story: A Dream to Reality

3rd person pov

In a dream,

Both of our main protagonists are sitting down in an open field.

Three children were playing in the open field as the dream plays through.

It was Eren, Armin, and Mikasa.

This wasn't a dream....

This was a memory...

But somehow, Eren and Emma's minds are 'connected' in a way where they meet in dreams, even if it's memories.

"So, what were you playing back then" Said Emma gesturing to the playing trio of Shigansina as she watched at them with her mouth in the smile she usually has.

He replied an answer to Emma's question.

"I.....don't know actually, I was just teasing Armin at that time and he wanted to get away by running, so I ran after him, and of course Mikasa followed since she wanted to make sure that we both won't get hurt"

"But she get's a little too over protective 'sometimes'. " Eren grumbled under his breath but Emma was able to hear it as she kneeled beside him and leaned in closer.

Eren continued to sit in a criss cross or 'indian sit' position with his back slouched as his elbows were on his legs, his hands were intwined together it rested there.

Of course he didn't know what an Indian sit was since the term 'Indians' or any other nationality in singular or plural form doesn't exist in his world.

At least....

That's what he thinks.

"Emma."

Eren called, Emma hummed as a response to let him know that he got her attention.

"What would you do if all of a sudden...."

"We met in person?" Eren completed his question.

The question left Emma thinking as she put her hand on her chin in a thinking motion. She sat in a crisscross positon as she faced the 3 playing children in front of them.

Emma snapped her fingers as she faced Eren again. The sound Emma made with her fingers made Eren turn his head at her direction

"I want to hug you! Bevause we can't really touch each other since our bodies would just pass through eachother." She said as she tried to place her hand on his shoulder, but her hand would only phase through.

Eren chuckled as he said

"I would like that..."

"How about you? What would you do? If we met in person?" She asked.

"Hm? I would give you a piggy back ride!" He said trying to pet her head, but like what happened to Emma, his hand only phased through her head.

Emma giggled at his attempt at patting her head, Eren just grumbled to himself,

"If only if my hand won't phase through then I'd be able to pat your head."

"Eren, let's make those two happen when we meet, like a promise!" She said

"Alright"

"I Promise"

Emma's pov

"You're..........Real........?"

I lunged at him and hugged him as he sat there and hugged back.

Eren....

It's really you!

I hope...

You didn't forget about that small promise we made....

If we're going to meet in person....
