The things we see in the Mirror

That night me and Harry decided to use the invisibility cloak to go into the restricted section.

" do you think we're going to find anything" I whispered to Harry

" I don't know but I know Mione will kill us if we don't"

" or worse get us expelled" Harry shook his head at me but I could see the cute smile on his face . As we made it to the restricted section , Harry took out his wand and unlocked it . We walked over to the bookshelf and set he lantern and the cloak down . We started looking through the books and I picked up one and opened it and all of a sudden the book began to screen , Harry took he book and shut it

" sorry..." I mumbled

" it's okay it was an accident"

" who's there?" Harry and I jumped and put the visibility clock back on before we got caught

" I know your in there you can't hide"

I gasped and Harry put his hand over my mouth as we made are way past Flich

As we ran out of the Library went around the corridor to see uncle sev pin Professor Quirrell against the wall , if it wasn't for Harry's hand over my mouth still they would have heard us

" severus , I ...." Quirrell mutters

" you don't want me as your enemy Quirrell" uncle sev said

" I .. I don't k..know what your mean"

" you know perfectly well what I mean" uncle sev looked straight at me and Harry as if he knew we where there , he outstretched a hand but we moved backwards just in time so he felt nothing but air
" we'll have another little chat soon when you've had time to decide where your loyalties lie" uncle sev said

Filch then walked up to Uncle Sev "Professors I found this in the restricted section it's still hot. That means there's a student out of bed"

When they all left Harry and I walked through the door that was behind us , we took of the invisibility cloak and we looked around at the room I've never seen before

" that was close" I said to Harry

" ye it was , why do you think snape was yelling at Quirrell" Harry said

"I don't know but I know uncle Sev will only yell at another Professor if it was necessary and don't say you think it's because Uncle Sev is up to something Cus I don't think that he is"
Harry looked at me knowing if he continued I would hit him , he then looked forward and pointed out a mirror

" what is that"

" I don't know I've never seen it before"

We walked in front of the mirror and Harry said he could see his parents but I couldn't see them .

Just then the image in the mirror began to change there stood two men on either side of me , when I looked closer both men had the same black hair as me and same grey eyes . One of the men had long hair down to his shoulders and the other man had shorter hair and had his hand placed on my shoulder , could tell that the two men where brothers and I knew the one with short hair was my biological dad as I had a Locket around my neck that has a photo of him and my mum .

Harry told me to wait here whilst he went to get Ron to show him the mirror , I just sat there and started at the two brothers in the mirror and smiled , they both looked really happy and Almost proud of each other , I began to wonder if they were like that in real life .

I'm brought out of my thoughts by Ron and Harry coming through the door

" come on come come look it's my parents" Harry said

" I only see us" Ron said

Harry told him to look in properly

" That's me I'm headboy and I'm holding the house cup two and bloody hell I'm Quidditch captain too , I look good , Harry do you think this mirror shows the future ?" Ron says

" how can it both by parents are dead" Harry says

" both of my birth parents are dead too but I saw my biological dad in the mirror" I saw with my head down so Harry comes and wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into a hug

Harry and I sat in front of the mirror again , Ron didn't want us coming back here but it was the only way for harry to see his parents and for me to see my real dad , because even though Dumbledore has been the best dad any one could have asked for , Dumbledore told me that my real dad died before I was born and it's weird that I can miss someone I've never even met .

"Back again Harry , Cassie?" A voice said from behind us , I looked to me my dad looking at us with a bit of a sad glint in his eyes

" I see that you both like so many before you have discovered the delights of the Mirror of Erised I trust by now you have realised what it does ... let me give you a clue , the happiest man on the earth would looked into the mirror and see only himself exactly as he is"

" it shows us what we want whatever we want" Harry says

" yes and no , it shows us nothing more or less than the deepest and most desperate desires of our hearts" dad says to us

" I'm sorry dad" I say and dad just looks at me

" there's no need to apologise , like Harry you have never known your birth parents and your deepest desire is to see them or at least one of them but just because you wish to see your real dad does not me you see me as anything less then your dad as I will never see you anything less then my daughter" by this point I was crying and I ran into him hugging him

" but remember this you two this mirror gives us neither knowledge or truth, men have wasted away in front of it , even gone made , that is why tomorrow it will be moved to a new home and I must ask you both not to go looking for it ." Dad said
