Ipoh thaipusam is something different where the devotees could easily bring the kavadi's or paal kudam straight to Muruga without climbing the steps but had to walk miles to the KalluMalai temple from Mariamman temple.

During thaipusam you can see people from different races and religions around the temple, that's what we call Malaysia. Even the Chinese buddha would make vows of breaking 108 coconut during the chariot, bearing kavadi and also shave their head bald.
Several roads near the Murugan temple will be closed for 5 days, police man, temple crews will be in charge to direct the devotees in to temple.
Kathir and Jeeva went to Mariamman temple, from there they would walk to Kalaimalai temple bringing paal kudam, Arun said later he will join with them at the temple bringing Mullai and Swarna too.
