Chapter 13: UA Sports Festival! Pt.1

"Man... I wanted to wear my costume."

"To keep everything fair, we can't."

"I wonder what the first round's gonna be..."

"No matter what comes, we have no choice but to deal with it."

"Right."

Everyone began talking about the upcoming rounds that'll be revealed later. Honestly, you're a bit nervous too. You're not nervous about the rounds, but the rankings. You shouldn't slack off in this sports festival. Good thing Mr. Hothead here helped you train. The both of you trained for two weeks and you're starting to think you've become close. You don't know what he thinks though.

"Oi, what you staring at, Stupid?" You snapped out of your thoughts when you realized Bakugo was sitting next to you. "Nothing. I'm just a bit nervous." You answered. He let out a 'tch' and spoke, "You should be, 'cause I'm gonna make sure I go on top!" He yelled. "Hey! After those training we did together, you're still treating me as an enemy?!" You yelled back in frustration.

"Of course!" You began glaring at each other until Ashido butted in. "Ooo~ what do we have here? You two trained together? How come we didn't know that!" She teased and her eyebrows began wiggling.

How'd she do that?

You slightly blushed and immediately covered your face so that she won't notice. "W-What did you say, damn extra?!" Bakugo yelled... Again! Suddenly, Iida opened the door and said, "Everyone, are you ready? We will be entering soon!"

Todoroki abruptly headed towards Midoriya with a serious face. I mean, his face is always serious but this time, he looked more furious. "Midoriya..." He uttered. "Todoroki? What is it?" Midoriya asked in confusion. They both caught all of the class' attentions even Bakugo. You could feel the tension going on with those two. Now that you think about it, you've never seen Todoroki talked to Broccoli before.

"Looking at things objectively, I think I'm stronger than you."

Eh? So what?

"Huh? Y-Yeah..." Broccoli nodded.

"But... All Might has his eye on you, doesn't he? I'm not trying to pry about that. But I'm going to beat you." Todoroki continued.

He's right, All Might does keep on checking on Midoriya. So Half n Half has the same guess as mine, huh? I think we'll be great detectives if we become partners!

"Oh? Is one of the best in class making a declaration of war?" Pikachu exclaimed. Kirishima stood up from his seat and headed towards the two. "Hey, hey, hey! Why are you picking a fight all of a sudden? Not now, we're about to start!" He touched Todoroki's shoulder but was moved away by him. "We're not here to make friends. So what does it matter?" He stated before walking away but stopped when Broccoli spoke again

"Todoroki, I don't know what you're thinking when you say you'll beat me, but of course you're better than me. I think you're more capable than most people... Looking at it objectively..." Kirishima butted in, "Midoriya, you probably shouldn't talk so negatively..."

"But, everyone-- The students from the other courses are aiming for the top with everything they've got! I can't afford to fall behind. I'll be going for it with everything I have, too." Broccoli continued. "Yeah." Todoroki responded. You heard Bakugo tch-ed. He must be so pissed off. You were all quiet for some time. Not minding what to do next.

"Y'know, even though Y/N here is the top in our class, I've never seen her being challenged before. You're pretty lucky, sweetheart." Kaminari broke the awkward silence as he leaned in to you and winked.
