'When you go in there, ask for Dr. Angela at the reception and read this out to the receptionist' Bob said, shoving a piece of paper in my hand.
I stared at him as he left and stopped right before getting in the car,
'If things work out , I hope I see you again miss'
I smiled and waved at him.
Well, let's get this done with.
X-x
As I entered my eyes searched for the reception.
'Hi! I'm here to meet Dr. Angela'
She smiled, ' Do you have an appointment?' while a nurse checked my temperature and replaced the mask I was wearing with a new one.
I think I forgot to mention , everyone wears masks, all the time.
It's normal, in fact people don't even step out anymore unless they absolutely have to.
Groceries are delivered by government robots and the only time people go out is when there is a medical emergency or an important parcel to be delivered(the ones that robots can't be trusted with).
'Excuse me , ma'am ?' The receptionist's voice broke my chain of thoughts.
'Yes, I mean no, I don't have an appointment but I was gonna apply to medical school and I was told that dr Angela wouldn't mind meeting me to discuss my prospects'
If you didn't figure it out already, I was no medical student and what I just said was the code Bob had given to me.
'Of course, what's the best school in your mind?'
'St. Ivy' That school closed down 5 years back.
She smiled and gestured for me to follow her to the waiting area.
What I saw as soon as I stepped in made me freeze in my place.
Unbelievable.
