Before you start reading please re-read the ending of the previous chapter I edited it on July 16th
I didn't sleep that night for the first time in a month.
I couldn't, the hushed whispers and fights I didn't know the reason behind, Valerie and Neil's weird behaviour, all the things that were being hidden from me were making me feel restless.
I lay on my bed, waiting for Neil to come back.
His bed, on the other corner of the room lay empty and neat. I didn't know what happened, even though I'd tried asking Vicky, he made it clear that he didn't want to talk and Neil, I had no idea where the man was.
It was way past curfew but Vicky didn't come check.
I stepped out of my room to go check on him, had he fallen asleep?
He lay on the floor in his room, fast asleep. I almost tried to pull him up to his bed but advised myself against it because it would probably wake him and that was the last thing I wanted if I was going to go find Neil.
I grabbed the safety gun Vicki had given me along with a knife and headed out.

After searching for about an hour, I was almost convinced that Neil wasn't on the island and had taken one of the boats on the island to go somewhere else.
That worried me, anything could happen to him.
I sat on the docks, almost expectantly until I heard a drunk voice on the other end of the road that led to the docks and as I got up I saw Neil swinging down the road, a bottle in hand.
Did he steal from Vicky's off-limits liquor cabinet? Well, that's what it seemed like.
How was I gonna sneak a drunk guy into the house?
That's something a lot of teenagers would have done and consider adventurous but as I looked at the figure about to crash into me without realizing, I knew I had taken up much more than I could handle.
This was gonna be one long night.
Heyy guysss
