Neil's POV:
Nessa threw a bamboo bracelet with metallic cones at Angela's feet as a distraction and she bent from the impact as I ran to the opposite end of the room to get us a few guns.
She searched for Angela's glove and put her thumb print on the fingerprint scanner, she was visibly shaking.
'Stop' Angela shrieked behind us, I looked back for a second and she was holding a gun in her hand. I tried to warn Nessa but she didn't understand and was soon shot.
She fell on the floor from the impact, unconscious. I tried to wake her up but she wouldn't budge and then I turned her around to see it was some sort of sting arrow.
'Why'd you do THAT?' I screamed at Angela.
'You know I had to because I thought we had an agreement.'
Agreement, I see.
'Well Angela, an agreement must be kept by both parties and you clearly broke yours.'
'What are you talking about? I told you your old friend Vanessa would be your co-agent.' She calmly asked.
'Yes, but you never told me that we'd be fighting each other.' I retorted
'This generation, goodness' Angela mumbled under her breath.
'It was a challenge, that what you both did was your response. You both have passed the test.'
'Wait , what?'
'Neil,no one was going to go for testing, this was a loyalty test, we just wanted to see if you two could work well together under tough conditions.'
I sighed in relief, nothing was gonna happen now, we were safe.
'What was in that shot?'
'Oh don't worry, it's just a small dose, she'll be up i- She stopped mid-sentence,staring at the dosage and gave me an apologetic smile, 'in 24 hours.'
I closed my eyes.
Wait, this was a good thing right?
24 hours of peace and tranquil.
