Chapter 73

Narrator's pov

"Do... Do you think she's... Still alive?" Josie mumbled

"He wouldn't kill her" Crystal said

"He tried to kill her twice, that speaks volumes" Beverly groaned, already pissed

"He's her father" Crystal whispered

"Yeah. He's her father but he's not a father!" Adam yelled

"What do you mean?" Crystal mumbled

"Out of everyone in this room, I can honestly say I feel the pain Aqua's been through for the past 14 years. She's been in misery, restricted, forced to do things that no one should do. If he tried to marry her off to some random guy because he wanted her away from his kingdom, imagine what else he's done. You left with a good memory of that place, but let me tell you. It's far from good. He's a monster and he needs to be killed. Point blank periodt" Adam hissed

"Sis went off" Josie snickered

"Thank ya" Adam smiled sweetly

"Listen Crystal, because I'm not gonna explain it again. Your husband has changed and he's unpredictable. You can't hold onto that happy memory you have of him because it's not him. You have to wipe the way you feel about him out of your mind and focus on your daughter because she's the one in trouble right now and she's the only person in your family with a heart" Allie said

Crystal's lips parted to speak but she held herself back. Her eyes locked with Beverly and she nodded instead of protesting.

"He... He really tried to kill her" Crystal mumbled

"Whatever you need, we'll get it. We'll be right with you every step of the way. Just... Bring her back" Beverly mumbled, her bottom lip started to quiver as she bit it, holding back the tears

Crystal's brows furrowed as she looked at the the girl. Out of everyone, Beverly seemed to be the most emotional one about the situation, she was curious to find out why.

"Can you please, give us a minute?" Crystal asked the girls and Adam, they nodded and found their way out of the room

Although Adam's ass was hanging out because of the split in the back of the hospital gown.

"Nice ass" Allie said

"Thank you" Adam giggled and closed the door, leaving the two females behind

"Your name's Beverly right?" Crystal asked

"..yes"

"I've heard about you, but I can't remember much of what Allie said. My focus was just on getting back the memories I once had. I wanted to learn about Aqua through her own mouth so I didn't ask about what was currently going on with her. I wanted to find a bond on my own with the girl" Crystal said and Beverly nodded

"That's understandable" Beverly mumbled, her fingers rose to her neck and she found the necklace

Her fingers gripped the gold as her heart clenched at the sight. The memories of her and Aqua came in like a flood, the smile she had, the happy moment they shared.

Streaming tears cleansed her red cheeks. Few droplets remained, forgetting their way as the path was swept from beneath them, consequently blurring the Amelia's vision with waves of sadness only the broken encounter. The salty release calmly flowed into her mouth so that she could taste her own sorrow. 

Crystal's hands clutched her own as she helped the girl calm down, she could feel her pain through every inch of her own body.

"Is.. Is that hers?" Crystal whispered
