Omniscient's POV.

There are different ways of explaining what life is based on different perspectives people have. Ones life differs from the other person's life and that is definitely why this thing called life is so interesting. An old man who explains life as just 'A time passing phase' doesn't see nothing interesting about it. "It's just your chance to breathe, nothing personal", those are the words he tells himself each and every day.

Each day he wakes up in a quiet room with sun rays penetrating through his glass window making his room look more brighter. The moment his feet touch the ground he is reminded of how lonely he is. He sometimes asks himself of how it would've been like if he had contact with his kids, would it be this quiet when waking up in the morning knowing that they are in other rooms? Would the kitchen always be cold or he'll smile when walking in, with an amazing aroma hitting his nostrils?

Monarch had so much anger in him and after his parents were murdered he took it upon himself to hurt and torture every person who knew and was involved in the murder of his parents. He developed two personalities, a Gemini. On the outside he painted a picture of himself that was very appealing to the people, on the inside he used a red paint to cover himself representing the blood he was determined to spill.

His friendship with Jason was rather one sided because he had other plans for him. He wanted to see him suffer, see him cry and beg for his life like his parents did. He wanted to laugh while looking at him in the eyes like how Jason looked at his father before spitting on his face. He wanted to leave him paralysed and traumatised just like how they left his brother but he figured that wasn't enough.

"Never forget faces", his father always said. This made him study the facial features of the young men that got into his home years ago and destroyed his entire life. He wanted REVENGE and nothing else.

Jason had no idea why his partners were dropping day after the other, he was indeed scared for his life but liked to act tough. He knew his day was coming but he just didn't know when. He trusted Monarch and allowed him to see the vulnerable Jason, the Jason that hurts people to make himself feel better. Monarch on the other hand was having a great time seeing him that way, helpless and for once not thinking the whole world revolves around him.

What a clever man he was, a man who knew how to treat people exactly how they treat him. A man you can confide in and a man who taught himself how to behave in certain circumstances. His love life wasn't an easy pathway. He disappeared from all his lovers and never even thought maybe he owed them an explanation. When he felt like he was getting attached to a woman, his only way out was to ghost.

He once fell in love with a woman named Cynthia, a wonderful woman whose heart had nothing but good intentions. She surely knew how to make Monarch weak on his knees and he got scared by that, resulting in him running away from the relationship. Little did he know that Cynthia was pregnant, with twins. She also never tried to contact him ever since. Not that she was mad at him no, she just tried to understand what she did wrong. She vowed to take care of herself and her children no matter how tough it might get.

Now someone asks you, what kind of a man is Monarch? The answer may be good as scripted, painting him as this horrible man who doesn't care about anyone but himself. A deadbeat father with no remorse for his own actions. But someone else might be thinking different of him.

On the other side, Carol was a dead woman walking. She was now one of Jason's victims. He gave her drugs on the daily, did whatever he wanted to do with her body knowing exactly that she won't have the strength to fight back. Though her words were restrained, she knew exactly what was happening to her. Her third eye was always open and was forever scripting every single thing Jason was doing to her.

Yes, she was tired and fed up. She was a prisoner in a house she was supposed to call a home. A house she thought she could make feel more welcoming and warm. She got used to strong hands always finding their way in squeezing her neck, leaving her out of breath and with marks all over. She got used to getting yanked by her hair till some strands of hair will come out.

She would try to tell Shanice but she always thought of how she will take this. She knew her daughter was very defensive and was willing to hurt anyone who hurt her but now, Jason has hurt them both and they both have no idea how much effect this had on them. The only thing Carol wanted was to be free again and the only thing Shanice wanted was to walk above Jason's grave. This makes it two people who want to see Jason dead.

We can yet again add another person to the two, now making it three people. Jessica, no matter how much she loves her father she knows that he doesn't deserve to live. She knows the pain his father has put a lot of people in, she's also part of the 'people'. She never forgave him for making her a business agreement. She watched her life being completely destroyed and controlled by someone else and she had no say whatsoever.

The meaning of life is definitely versatile, but it might have a lot of similar concepts to some people. Concepts that might make one see that it's not only me but a lot of "me's".
